Poor customer service, rude, zero verbal communication. I received a half charged vehicle 2 flat tires alerts by the time I passed home depot. I returned the vehicle with fixed tires, half charged as received. I was told everything was fine. Reviewed bank statement and was charged a refueling fee as soon as I left.- 0 stars

I rented a car for the week through Thrifty, which is also under the Hertz heading in Apple Valley, Ca. Victoria was the staff member there and she had a lovely way of explaining the rental agreement. Always smiling and seeming to care genuinely for me and my family. I wish to thank her by leaving this review and going back again!

First of all, extremely rude staff! I had a horrible past experience with these extremely unprofessional people, but thought I’d give them another try since they are located close to my house. Booked online and PAID in FULL!!!!! Went to pick up my car and they said they didn’t have one available for me. What the heck are “reservations” for and also I paid in advance. No help what so ever from the staff. They just basically dismissed me. I had a plane to catch and thankfully was able to get another car last minute at Enterprise in Apple Valley! Oh, and then when I called Hertz corporate to get my refund, I never got through. They kept me on hold for over an hour. I finally had to Dispute it with my credit card company. Never again will I go to Hertz for car rentals! Take my advice and don’t go there!

I have to say that typically rental car experiences are nightmares but these young ladies that work in the office here in Apple Valley are very accommodating, helpful, patient and have charming dispositions which is very refreshing. I had so many challenges adjusting to the fancy new cars that what started out as being a joke turned into I'm sure a little bit of a frustrating situation for them but they were so sweet and they just kept their patients and helped me with such professionalism I was very impressed because customer service has been subpar at other places.

This Hertz location used to be my overall favorite rental car option in the high desert.
It has been a few years since I last needed to rent but when a recent need arose it was a no-brainer to reserve with them.

Upon arrival, we received a very friendly greeting from both staffs. While one young lady promptly began our check-in process, the other was easing certitude with her humor and engaging convo. By the time that a mistake on my reservation was found that might've prevented my rental, they had discussed agreed upon then offered options to help me so smoothly that I almost missed the issue.
I drove away pleased to find the experience as I remembered it.

Came to Hertz in Apple Valley since it was less than 10 min away. I was given a car that had a very strong cigarette smell and a service light that was on. By the time I got home I fell nausea from the smell. I immediately called Hertz spoke to Amanda at the front desk. I told her of the issue with the smell and service light seeing how they can fix the issue. Instead I was told right away there was no more available vehicles, absolutely no help, no customer service, no concern of the situation pretty much without saying that's life get over it thats what you got now deal with it is all I needed to hear next. I go in to return their vehicle. I do get a full refund but in a day or two I get hit with a charge from hertz. Talked to Amanda again and was telling me that all that was in the receipt given to me that I should have read this known that and again I don't care attitude. Then told here's the customer service number even though there not going to really help you its there policy here it is anyway.
Called the customer service number and they refunded the charge. Charging a customer for a service they didn't get, waisted time, and on top with a horrible experience and was treated with such little regard over there was just ridiculous. Looking at the reviews now at this location Iwish I would have done that before I went there. It appears I'm not the only customer being treated in such a manner. Amanda Shame on you for treating us in this way. Customer satisfaction and maintaining of clean and up to date safe vehicles should always be the number one priority. Never again!
