Currently driving a rental from Hertz in Auburn. They gave it to us with low tires and tires that need to be balanced. It rides rougher than a truck. Went back after driving it a day to get the tires aired up and the guy working there was being an ahole because he didn’t like where I parked. I left to avoid the conflict. Definitely would not use this establishment.

Not this location in particular but Hertz as a whole. Worst rental company ever. Went on line to rent a car for my daughter in Auburn from this location. About 30 minutes later received a text message from an unknown number stating to call the 800 and cancel as they didn't have a car. Called the 800 number which confirmed the reservation and stated that if there was not a car at the location the location would get one from another location. My daughter went to pick up her car and the manager told her they didn't have 1 and that it was the company's fault. He told them not to make reservations but they did anyway. Basically not his problem. Then today I'm looking at my credit card statement and I was charged for 1 day of the car rental. I called the 800 again and after finally getting through to someone that spoke very broken English I was told that it would be taken off my card is 10 business days. When asked why it was charged in the first place I was told she had no idea and it would be refunded in 10 business days.
Save yourself some time and hassle rent from somewhere else

Please and I say again please don’t waste your time going to THIS location. The manager is the worst manager I have ever had to deal. He cancelled my reservation at 2:30 for a 2:00 pickup, but keep in mind that he kept me waiting 1 hour on my previous pickup. I arrived today at 2:37 PM. Speaking of my previous pickup, the car smelled like marijuana and it was a smaller car than I paid for. So, is it the Hertz policy to cancel a reservation after 30 minutes even though the reservation had already been confirmed 24 hours prior?

Only one employee for the counter and car cleaning. If you use this location plan for at least 45 minutes for pickup or drop off. The location itself is a mess with overflowing trash cans and trash on floor.

The absolute worst service, granted it is due to Hertz HQ, not the local office. I reserved a car and 3.5 hours before leaving for a trip I get a message that they didn't have a car available. The local office asked Hertz to close the online reservations but they didn't which meant that I was allowed to make the reservation online although there were no cars. I asked if I would be charged for the reservation and was told I would have to call to cancel it. (Cancel it, when they're the ones who cancelled it). I waited 40 minutes on the phone waiting to speak with Hertz's customer service and then the guy asked why I was canceling and said he could wave the cancellation fee (as if it were my fault).

Hertz in Auburn took my reservation and then sent me an email the morning I was supposed to pick up the car telling me that my reservation was canceled because they overbooked. I called to speak to a person to see if there was anything that could be done, and the young man on the phone was incredibly unprofessional and rude to me, insinuating that I should be grateful to the company because at least they sent me a text. I will never use this company again.
UPDATE
After Hertz canceled my reservation the day of, they went ahead and charged my credit card the full amount! Took an hour on the phone and 7-10 business days to get my money back.

The employees are nice but the systems they use are garbage. They will rent out your car and ruin your plans. Do not trust hertz.

Edit- in addition to the scheduler not working properly, the cancelation feature does not work on their website or at the store, so you will have to call customer service for an hour and they will hold your funds for over a week.

Do not believe this manager responding to everone - theyre managing google maps reviews not rental cars. STAY AWAY!!!

Turned my car in when I was supposed to. 6 days later continually getting calls for not returning car and they were charging my credit card for a car that was on their lot. When I called the guy says he was taking care of it and it would be checked in. 2 days later still the same. Awful customer service. Do not recommend at all.
