I went to Hertz car rental in Downey to swap out a Chevy Malibu that I had rented yesterday at the West Covina facility. All of a sudden, the dashboard started lightning up, giving me a message saying that the car needed service and battery light was on and got a message that the vehicle would stall. Christian was nice enough to help me swap out the vehicle rental that had maintenance problems. He is so nice, pleasant, professional, service, oriented, and provides outstanding customer service! He ensured that i was satisfied with the rental of the vehicle. Joe, Store Manager was very nice, professional and service oriented! “The customer service is outstanding”. Thank you.

I am extremely disappointed with my rental experience last week. I held a reservation for about 5-6 months on a rental that guaranteed the vehicle. I checked my reservation regularly just to make sure no changes were made that I should have been aware of. On the day of the reservation, I went to pick up the rental, and I was told that the vehicle I had reserved for months was not at the location. I was distressed because at this point the entire trip that I had planned relied on this rental. I asked to speak with a manager or someone who could help me because I had not counted on this and honestly I had no idea what to do. After waiting for 30 minutes for a manager someone finally approached and told me the only thing that could be done was for him to try to get the same vehicle from their LAX location but it would take at least an hour. At this point I was fuming, because I had been waiting at this location for an hour and I was supposed to be on the road with my family. I gave them a few more minutes hoping something miraculous would happen but unfortunately, nothing did so I eventually told them to cancel the reservation and I left. This was a terrible inconvenience and my plans were unfortunately altered because of this as I expressed to the manager and I wasn't offered any kind of help, compensation, or anything that could try to rectify what I went through. I wouldn't recommend any one trust to rent with this company and honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would.

Rental subcompact car after discount $ 32 a day when i increased it rental to 2 weeks after one week completed , my total cost went up to average per day $ 35 .. which is illogical ....more days rental should be less but with hertz it is opposite. Not prefer in future .....I had awesome experience with Enterprise and Avis ,picked and dropped me at home ....but Hertz have excuse every time we are short of staff so no pick up or drop available.........my experience with Hertz in all areas is terrible

They're pleasant enough but don't come around noon. Something about them having to move cars or something, they just tried to rush me out of the office. I'm President's Circle status, used to being treated a certain way, and this location failed to acknowledge that. Then I was given an EV that had a quarter battery. That's 45 minutes of my plans used up to recharge the car first. I should have gotten it fully recharged!

Overall, they were friendly in a dismissive sort of way. Like they're annoyed they had customers sort of way.

SCAM! Be careful they will try to charge you more Customer service and management are the worst. Be careful before you try to rent here, as they will allow you to book a car and try to upcharge you once you have arrived. Branch manager Andrew D Ojinata needs more training on how to handle these situations and better manage their store and employees.

So disappointed of this place I read a lot of the comets about trying to give you something similar. about late fees charges a lot other things and didn't belive until today. What of wasting time with this company

Sad little dilapidated Hertz outpost with cars to match. Rented a TESLA with mostly missing moth eaten steering wheel leather. Embarrassing.

Did not want to help me was very annoyed eveytime I called. Had a very stressful situation with my insurance company and these people made it worse
