Do not rent from hertz. Prepaid our rental twice online and the pick up time defaulted to 1pm. First time, they upgraded us for free. Second time I called the night before AND the morning of to verify time, nope, they had to scramble last minute. Ended up giving us a 2013 Nissan Rogue which proceeded to lose power about an hour into the drive. The problem? No transmission fluid! Added some, got back on the road, happened again. 1-800 roadside assistance was no help, *I* had to call and find a nearby location with a car. She kept saying "It's a holiday week, the only place that has vehicles is an airport. " She was wrong, I found one about an hour away. Had to leave rental on road, get our own ride to next location, got new vehicle (upgrade=half the mpg) just as they were closing. What do they offer for our trouble? 1 gas tank ($65) and $100 off our *next* rental. Oh, and Connie was *gracious* enough to give us free tax ($16). She did not want to refund our money for the transmission fluid, but finally gave in. We will never rent from them again.
