I had the worst experience ever with this company. I rented an electric car through their app, but when I arrived to pick it up, they informed me that they didn’t have the car I had rented. As a result, I had to rent the only other option they had, which was a sedan, but I had to pay extra for it and wait until the car was ready. It’s their problem, not mine but I had to pay the consequences. Apart from that, the lady who was assisting me was incredibly rude and not only to me but also to other clients. It was a truly unpleasant experience.

What a disappointment.

I've been renting with Hertz for almost 2 decades. I'm a gold member with them. Anytime I travel, I always use Hertz and most airport locations are excellent. Unfortunately, this place is not like that.

Today is my brothers funeral. There are 6 of us travelling into the city for his service. We don't fit in one car so I made a reservation for a 7 seat SUV. When I went to pick it up (today), the lady informed me that they didn't have my car but could put me in a van which seats 8. I said "sure" until she told me it would cost $80 MORE for the rental. I asked her why I had to pay more when THEY didn't have my car and she said that just how it was and that they couldn't change the price of the car which is false because Hertz has done it twice in the past, in Sacramento and in Colorado when they didnt have my vehicle available. They upgraded me with no extra charge, as is only fair.

They didnt offer any help or solution. They didn't call any other Hertz locations to see if they had cars for us. The customer service is not acceptable and I really recommend you NOT rent here. In our case, the solution was to take two cars but imagine if it was a more serious issue like a trip or emergency. Even with a reservation, there is no guarantee and no customer service to help fix an issue like this.

In the words of Jerry Seinfeld: They know how to take a reservation but they dont know how to keep a reservation, and that's really the most important part.

I'm a bit conflicted about continuing to use Hertz considering it's not the fault of other locations, that have always been so good, for this one location, but i also hate to support this kind of service. I definitely do NOT recommend coming here. There are better places.

Absolutely The worst experience I have ever had in my life in renting cars. Rented a car through the app which was suppose to be a sedan get to my pick up time and they offer me a electric car that was not what I rented had to Lyft to a location 20 mins away that had way better service and was in and out with no problems in less than 10 mins

Reina and Leo got me to my car in and out on my return with patience and with a sincere professional attitude despite the crowd.

Rented a Kia K4, which is a small compact car. A little sporty, but it was clean and fun to drive. I rented for 4 days mostly to work. They offered me collision issurance, but I decline as part of the car rental contract.

I would definitely come again qithout hesitation. Don't forget to fill it up with you drop it off. 😉

If i can give negative star, i would do that. Bad bad service. Leo i believe he is manger, is rude. They will have the car, still will not give you the car. You will get changed more when you go to pickup the car. Stay away from this location

Terrible service - i paid to get a car with at least four doors. This is what i specifically paid extra money for online. Was going to be in town helping my 80 year old grandparents out and needed something I could put them in the back seat of. They “upgraded” me to a mustang, which has almost no back seat and only two doors. told me i had no other options, i was basically forced to take it after i had signed all my paperwork. I would have gone literally anywhere else if they has told me this while i was signing my documents or has been mentioned at any point up until the person drove up and gave me the car and ran off. Incredibly shady “upsell” after i had signed all the documents, poor communication throughout the process, no customer service when complaints voiced, just a terrible situation all around which created more work for me in a stressful family emergency. Going to another location seeing if maybe they actually listen to me

DO NOT rent from this place, the service is so damn slow. It’s under staffed. It’s even worse than service at DM. We called several times to see if they had vehicles to switch because the chevy bolt ev charging only ~50kw max, no one answered. My bad I didn’t check the reviews before I picked this location. Now you be warned, avoid while you can.

I have been a gold member with Hertz for years and have rented from Fullerton several times with no complaints. This time was different. There was new staff and I honestly have never had a worse experience. Usually, as a gold member, I show my ID and get the keys, do a walk-through and I'm gone. This time, I had to show multiple forms of ID AND was asked to prove my employment with the company for which I was using their corporate code. Appalled. All of this is pre-verified when I set up my profile. Second, Jeremy tells me it's going to be a few minutes because the car is really dirty. I get the car and it is BEAT UP! There's so many dings and dents that I just took a full video of the condition instead of photos. They had no other cars available. Note: while I'm waiting, a gentleman who rented before me came back with a service light and was assured he was fine. I rent the car on Saturday but don't leave for my trip until Monday. I get out of state and I have multiple brake malfunction and check engine warnings come on. In addition to the door not closing right so the air and sound was coming in through the driver's window. I reach out to Jeremy. The first thing he asked me is what rental I have and his response was "oh, you have THAT car". He says I need to contact the closest airport location (which is 3 hours away). Then he tells me to call the one closest to me. I asked him if he could call them and set up a replacement for me since I am on business (and, frankly, this is his job). He said he doesn't have their number. What?! Then he proceeded to tell me to call roadside assistance. I don't need roadside assistance. I need you to set up a new rental for me. I drove to the rental office myself and was informed that the car was just in an accident and should have never been rented to me. What!?!? Thankfully, the new office provided top-notch service and had me in a new car immediately. I will never rent from Fullerton again and if it wasn't for the service I received in Arizona, I would be done with Hertz for good.
