Ryan made my overall experience of hiring my first car abroad amazing. She was very kind and so helpful. She patiently explained anything I was confused with really well. She helped me select the best car for what I needed and set clear expectations of how the car needed to be returned which made the return process quick and smooth. We got a new model with a high spec at a great/affordable price. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.

I recently rented a car from Hertz for three weeks and returned it on January 10. Since then, my deposit has not been refunded, and I am very frustrated. They charged me extra for fuel, which I didn't contest, but after returning the car, they claimed there was damage. I purchased insurance, so I don't understand why my deposit hasn't been refunded. Additionally, the staff at the counter were quite rude. I do not recommend renting from Hertz based on this experience.

I am a frequent customer, and I had another issue with Norma. The first issue was she informed me after I returned the car back that I was going to have to pay a cleaning fee since there is sand in the car. That if I didn't take it to get vacuumed I'd be charged $200. Yes, there was sand but we weren't making sand castles in the car. Is this something new

Second time.
I made a reservation on line for a 7 seat vehicle with no problem. When I arrived, Norma informed me they don't have a car available.
On my way in I observed 2 vehicles that were in the lot. When I asked her she stated they weren't available. She didn't even attempte to see if another location may have a car or make any effort to help. I had to call around to see what other rental company was available. Luckily, I called Avis/Budget up the street and I was there maybe 10 mins and I got the car i needed.

I wont bother going there ever again. I reserved a car for my 4 day trip out of town - did a pre check in to make things as easy as possible for my Saturday 12pm pickup. I got there at 12:10 and the people inside had the door locked and sternly told me from the window that "they are closed and done for the day". Didn't even bother checking for my reservation or an apology. A huge waste of my time all the way around. Will just be renting from Enterprise around the corner in the future.

This was by far the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. They offered me a manager special and then revoked it at the last minute, saying they couldn’t give it to me because of a lack of “eligible” cars and said that if I wanted it, I had to wait an entire half-day extra to get a reservation. Upon returning the car, they decided to charge me a $50 gas fill fee for what was the difference of a gallon or two of gas. Price gouging, inconsiderate, rude. All the things you don’t want from a car rental.

I had been with Hertz two previous times and didn't want to deal with them again. However I was in a small town, and that was my only option. The office in Petaluma was a mess. One person did EVERYTHING (including washing the cars). So while there was only one person in front of me, the whole thing took at least 45 minutes. I got $25/day insurance (they always lean on you heavily to get it). Yet, the Glendale office held me accountable for a stain on the back seat (which may or may not have been there prior. The agent in Petaluma never looked at it. I never sat back there, just placed luggage). The only rental car company I trust is Budget. No threats to pressure you into insurance, no hassle. Unfortunately, they aren't as ubiquitous as Hertz, Enterprise, etc. Traveling is supposed to be enjoyable.

My worst experience: I had a rental car reservation done by my insurance company agent. They called me from hertz ( R...as she said!!), asking me when I am planning to come to pickup my car, I asked about the car type they are offering me, she mentioned to me three car types, I told her as long as the car is clean, it's ok for me, but she suddenly started to be very rude in her answers, and told me, ok ok, I will call you back.
I Waited for three hours, no call, so I called, she answered me rudely: I don't have any car for you, and when I asked why, she put me on hold for a long time and never took the phone back... I called again, and every time she just put me on hold without answering...
I am really very upset how she treated me, it's not professional way to treat the clients, I hope that the manager will see my review and take some actions.

Terrible costumer service. Do not recommend one bit. If you want to rent a car go to Burbank airport, the costumer service is infinitely better and it’s only 10 minutes away!
