I'm not here by choice, and when I walked in, I could tell this wasn't going to be a good experience. I was not met with a hello or a smile. It actually, gave me a strange feeling, I can’t really describe it, just didn't feel comfortable. The staff, has no warmth, there is no above and beyond going on here. They are doing the minimum. I’ll just jump to the second rental…LOL!! I left my parking pass in a car I had exchanged for another. When I notified them, they had already closed and the lady, told me she wouldn't remember the next day and that I would need to call back in the morning...LOL, which I thought exemplified poor customer service. Now let’s talk about the condition of the car I was rented. The outside had bug splatter all over the windows the front of the car, just nasty. The inside smelled of dog and cigarettes. I had picked up the car in the middle of the week and the location closes at 5, so I didn’t want to miss anymore worked so I waited until the weekend. Saturday came and I made my way down to the location to see if they could exchange the car, I explained the situation, how I had allergies and had been suffering in the car. With no care at all the lady (Same Lady) simply said to me we don’t do exchanges on the weekends. Come back on Monday. Needless to say, I never went back. I was able to drop my car at the autobody place and hope to never see that place again. Now, I was sent here by the insurance company who is paying for the car. I can tell you without a doubt, I would never spend my hard-earned money to rent anything from this location. And because of this location, I would never spend a dime with the Hertz cooperation. Just all around bad, I mean the poorest of service!!! PLEASE if you value customer service this is not the place for you. You will be served without a smile and then discarded.

Made a reservation. When I arrived, I was told they only had electric cars available (I didn't reserve an electric car). The problem was I was required to return with a full charge. Sorry, I am not wasting my time charging a car. I was renting a car to save time. Filling up gas is much easier.

If I could give this branch 0 stars I would.
I’m a gold member with hertz but for some reason when booking with this location I can never secure a car. They either do not have the car I reserved and nothing else to offer or try to put me in something other than what I’ve reserved with additional charges… I’ve been over charged for vehicles after they modify my reservations due to no availability. When cars are available they are barely cleaned, crumbs and dirt marks inside, damage on outside of car that’s not properly documented. Every car I’ve rented through Hertz was fully insured so the following experience didn’t make or break anything but I was given a car w a cracked windshield & upon return I was accused of causing the damage. I was able to prove otherwise using personal photos I took at the time of pick up. Just imagine if there was no insurance nor photos! Same experience no matter how far in advance I am booking. Stay away from Alex, very unprofessional and unhelpful.

A completely awful & unprofessional return experience at this location. Operating as if they’re in the 90’s. Avoid this location if possible. And remember they are conveniently closed for lunch on weekdays!

The car I rented had electrical issues and it was not safe for me to drive. I went to Hertz so they can exchange the car and they refuse to do so. They also refused to take the car back. So I’m stuck with paying for every day that I do not drive. The Fremont location is closed on the weekends. This is not the right way to do business. I have given them thousands of dollars of my business and this is how they treat the customers. This is a very shameful company. They have put me and my passengers life in danger by giving me a car that is not properly functional. They are five stars when it comes to collecting the money from the customers But they are zero stars when it comes to doing the right thing and helping the customers. I am very, very disappointed how this was handled.

Needing a replacement car & trying to rent a car from this place is almost stressing me out as much as the initial accident... WHY IS IT SOOOOO HARD TO A.) Get someone on the phone B.)Get a car!!!!! After sitting on the phone listening to that stressful noise/waiting music 🎶 someone screaming WOOOOO 🎶HOOOOO 🎶😫HOOOOOO!!!!! Transfer from person to person to alas! Poops nope... someone
