I consider this Herts branch as the best in the Bay Area, Why?
because the Branch Manager who's David Navarrete went beyond my expectations with his performance by providing me GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, which is hard now in days to find on rental cars stores.

Our family had last minute plan trip to LA and yesterday afternoon I came to this store for the first time at closing time and I thought right away that I was going to be told that they were closed, like many other stores does it, BUT David with his professionalism ask me " How can I help you " that right there, showed that this man really cares and takes pride on his work and wanted to make sure to satisfy a desperate customer who was myself at that time and he did it. He was able to reserved us a really nice SUV with a great rate.

I was very satisfy with the SUV and rate we received from Mr. Navarrete, I highly recommend this store especially when David is present because you will see and feel that you are at the right place.

Earlier this year my mom rented a car from this place and the service was awful. She requested a car that was standard and they gave her a car she was not familiar with and didn’t know how to start/reverse and drive. That would have been fine if they had someone teach her. The tires also had sensors and kept going off and she didn’t know how to fix it or turn them off. She said she called and they said they would send someone with another car( she was approximately 10 minutes driving distance from the rental lot) and she waited over 2.5 hours and no one came. Then when she called back it turned out they closed! Seriously That’s ridiculous. At least tell her so she doesn’t sit there waiting.

Incredibly rude and poor customer service. I am appalled they are still in business. I would hope no one would treat anyone else’s mother this way. She said it was extremely expensive, they were rude and she didn’t know how to drive the car without asking someone else for help (and no one from the rental place bothered to show her when she asked).

Just feels like a bunch of scammers wishing upon your downfall. I was given a rental for 10 days by the dealer while they fix my car. Right out the gate the dealer covers my rental but hertz wanted to me to pay $60 a day for insurance but conveniently didn't mention to check with your insurance provider to see if they cover rentals thankfully I did. Then my return day is on Sunday, but they're not open on weekends so I have to return my rental 2 days early or get charged $45 plus tax for holding it an extra day when they're forcing me to bring it back early.

The men who work here seem nice but the wait time is atrocious. I’ve never had to wait so long to pick up or drop off a car. To make matters worse I had somewhere to be each time I walked in. There is absolutely no sense of urgency which is frustrating particularly if you’re traveling. The last thing I want to do is spend an hour dealing with a car rental. Please staff more people.

Don't bother making a reservation cause they won't have the car you reserved when you get there.
I should have known there was going to be a problem when the customer in front of me walked out upset instead of taking the vehicle they offered.

The manager seems completely oblivious & would prefer to blame any issues on outside booking apps.

I ordered a Sedan & was given a tiny electric car.
I emphasize tiny because I'm 6'4 250

Kevin tried to help but the only other option was that I pay more.

They said they'd call me if someone turned in a vehicle fitting what I'd ordered but I won't hold my breath.

This is the absolute worst branch ever, the first time I came here they didn't have the car I reserved, so I got stuck with a small car where Uber customers were literally sitting on my back, not to mention the charger port didn't work, the second time which is now I've been stuck here for 2 1/2 hours and there telling me once again they don't have the car I reserved after specifically made an appointment for the car I reserved, he's telling me to come back tomorrow after I just told you I have to return to work in Livermore, like this is not right, if you don't have the cars here stop putting them on line like you do and wasting everyone's time. I'm so Pissed 😡

Waited 1.1/2 hours until I got to the representative. Another 40 minutes until I got the rental car. David got us a great car and he was great. The wait was too long. Seemed like they were short staffed.
