Although I actually needed up not going through with my rental, I felt compelled to leave a review because the hertz agent, Josh, was so nice. She was very helpful in trying to set me up a reservation despite not having once in advance. 10/10 would use again!

We’ve been renting from Hertz for years now. Rosanna has been very helpful with all of our needs. She’s very sweet and very kind always doing her best to give us great customer service. Never had a bad experience with any of the staff. I always recommend Hertz to my family and friends when asked about car rentals.

We rent cars on trips often, and this is the only time we felt comfortable and at ease with friendly customer service! We had a tall gentleman with glasses that helped us, very friendly, very comfortable to interact with, and very quick to get us in a vehicle! Odd to have a car rental experience positively stand out, but this SLO Hertz surprised us!

In a nutshell, Rosanna was a LIFE SAVER and I had one of the best car rental experiences period.
The long version - I traveled to Paso Robles from SF for labor day weekend, and literally the instant I arrived my car broke down in the winery parking lot. After scrambling to find a place to tow it to with AAA, the only shop was in SLO, and it would sit for at least a few days so I was looking for a rental. On a Saturday night on labor day weekend I booked a Hertz rental online, and Rosanna called me to follow up, made sure I could pick up the car after hours, and texted me from her cell phone to make sure I got the pickup and everything went smooth. Additionally, when I couldn't pick up my car from the shop (labor day weekend, couldn't get parts) Rosanna helped me over text switch to a 1 way rental so that I could drive back to SF. Costs were all reasonable, but Rosanna's service was exceptional. What would have been an absolute nightmare weekend was ultimately fine in large part to Rosanna and Hertz helping us out.

I would also rate this place 0 stars if I could. The manager Roseann is no help and in other words told me that because there is a contract their employees can provide false information and it will still be my responsibility to avoid any late fees. That is the worst customer service I have ever received and I will never ever rent from Hertz again. I am even embarrassed to leave a review as I never do this! Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else!

This is the WORST rental car location. I know they’re at the airport and can be “convenient,” but AVOID THEM at all costs! They are a franchise location, meaning they set their own rates and fees. Corporate really isn’t helpful when you have an issue and then when the management is so rude, disrespectful, and STEAL money from their customers by making charges that were not authorized, you feel helpless. This manager, Rosanna is a nightmare. Her feelings were hurt when my anger showed through and she found herself in a lie. TRUST THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! I failed to read them before renting here. Was charged $840 for a one-way rental that was less than 12 hours, returned in perfect, clean, and full of gas.

*UPDATE: she records audio and video and does not disclose this to customers! In our dispute, she said she has my husband “recorded” being told that he would be charged fees if he dropped the car off one-way. When I asked for those recordings she said ok, but has yet to send them. This is 10 months later and no recordings. She’s a liar and a fraud. Recording people when they aren’t aware….

I arrived at the airport on 4/23/23. I had left my phone in San Diego and was trying to meet a group of friends scattered in the area. Long story short, Paige from Hertz helped me in every way she could, by letting me borrow a phone to try to find my friends, just offering support, and then renting me a car for a much lower rate than taking 3 ubers over 4 days back and forth to the airport. Great service, great attitude, nice car, and the feeling of security by Paige. Give that girl an award for unbeatable customer service. Thanks Paige!

Before coming here I truly believed all car rental agencies had signed a blood pact to make the rental process as obnoxious as possible for customers. Not Hertz in San Luis Obispo! Took less than five minutes to get the car with zero hassle. I will always rent from here when I’m in SLO!
