The manager is not fit to be there if she cannot even take a little criticism and customers complaining about a vehicle that almost killed them. Taking incident lightly, then refusing service and trespassing your customers. This is what you will get if you raised your voice at this manager. Apparently she expects customers to treat her like she doesn’t work there. Expressing anger or any elevated emotions would mean you would get zero service from this location. Raising your voice equates to yelling at her. Even after many times of indicating the emotions were towards the whole situation, but she took it personally. The car had issues, and her location neglected to address the issue at hand, and goes on saying “the car had been in your possession” as the reason for this incident to happen. Be careful if you choose to rent here. I would say have everything done online, and perhaps just picking up your rental would be fine but pray you don’t get a defective vehicle. I will take this manager’s suggestion and go to Enterprise next door. Thanks

Hertz Rent-we have bought three different times my daughter bought a car from them as well. Excellent service and way beyond asking Jerry. The salesman was dynamite just and Heather and financing was just incredible as well so bunch of real professional people and I highly recommend them I own my own business so I know how important reviews are so just wanna thank them for that Michael

I reserved a car at this Hertz in Stockton, CA through the State Farm app for $29/day. When I arrived the employee said that they do not have any cars for $29 but she would be happy to give me a $45/day car. She said she could see that I had been approved from State Farm for up to $50 a day so what was I worried about? Nice! Then she said she could put me on a list and whenever a $29 car came in that she would call me to come in again. Every other car rental company I have worked with will honor the rate with an upgrade if they do not have the reserved car class available. Evidently not this Hertz. It came across as a bait and switch. Not happy with that Sales gal and Hertz for sure.

We recently got a car from hertz and Gianna was the girl to help us she was great and very attentive and respectful and made us feel like family I recommend you ask her for help when looking for car.

I will never rent a car from this location ever again. First when I arrived they didn't have any rentals available, they gave me a vehicle that one of their employees had just picked up from somewhere. Then the rate of the insurance increased. Online stated $25 per day. I always buy insurance because I don't want to use my own for a rental. The lady informed me that it was actually $29.99 but it will cover the car and roadside. When I looked at my receipt later that day I was charged an additional $9.99 per day for roadside. This total was more expensive then the rental itself. I tried to reach out to them but they had already closed for the day. On top of that the vehicle had a half of tank of fuel which the rep stated she would note but didn't I found this out on return. Luckily, I had the pre inspection photos showing the actual fuel level. The tires needed to be inflated and the oil level was at 25%. I have been renting cars for over 15 years and never experienced this before. Hertz you need to do better..

After reading all these negative reviews, I decided to give them a call ahead of my reservation. Well, it seems that the reviews are true. Booking what seems available online in advance for this location does NOT guarantee that you will be able to get the same type of car (or better), or even that you will get A car. They're very disorganized and that's just what it is. Especially if you paid extra for a nicer vehicle, you might be in for a big disappointment and maybe also a bad deal$. That's Stockton for you. They truly are awe full. I made the mistake of giving them a second chance recently. Big mistake. There were several people in front who too had experienced the same. Cars we had reserved weeks before were not on the lot yet and there was no guarantee we would be able to secure one. My pick up was at 4:00 pm and they closed 4:30. Went in to pick it up at 2 and they said it wasn’t in yet. No extra cars on the lot either. So I asked if the car we reserved came in damaged or late then what? And they simply said then there wouldn’t be a car to rent for the day.

And just as I expected 4:12 they give me a call and say the car hasn’t come in yet and they were sorry. Glad we ended up taking our business to enterprise. Same price and they hooked us up with a “luxury Brand” car for the hassle. It’s was a kind gesture on their part.

Walking into their dingy looking “office” should have been enough for us to turn away. Super unprofessional and unreliable. Never again.

Did the whole online verification to supposedly speed up the check in process which was a waste of time. Still had to verify everything when checking in. Save your time and don't bother with pre-checkin.
