Wow! What an easy, inexpensive, and carefree experience. The nice lady who works their (can't remember her name but she was very friendly and also very pretty 😉) was super helpful on the phone scheduling the trailer rental and even more helpful at the lot; she even hooked up the trailer for me. If I ever need anything from UHaul ever again, this is where I'll go. I should note I drove from 29 Palms to this location because the people I spoke to at the 29 Palms UHaul were rude and charged more for the same thing. Thank you High Desert Rentals!

I reserved a truck at this location, then when i went to pick it up, they told me someone else rented it out, i compromised and took the smaller truck and the clerk told me that she gave me a fuel credit and didnt have to refill gas. After i returned the truck, my card was charged $70 for missing fuel. I only put about 15 miles on it so i was expecting to pay about $16 extra but not 70. It Put my bank account in the red. They refuse to take my calls now. Dont lie about a fuel credit then charge my card for said fuel.

You can return rentals 24/7. An associate went out of their way to call us and let us know when they would be open in case we needed any help.

Janelle has been my go-to Uhaul rep since I moved here! She is very helpful, attentive, and courteous. I expressed how important it was that the trailer I rented was available at 8am on the pick-up date, so on they day before, she drove by the office after hours and called me to let me know it was there - 10/10 customer service. I will continue to rent trailers to transport my race car to events, and will continue to use Janelle's services as long as they are available.

It appears (the woman at the desk) is a good person, however her business acumen is very poor. To be charged before being allowed to see my bill and to be told "this is why I never show customers because they want to argue" and just take it up with the 1-800 number only speaks into existence my experience this week. I hope your experience be better.

Janelle at high desert rental does NOT care about the safety of her customers. Do Not go here unless you want to be sent away with an unhitched tow dolly , having it fall off of your vehicle on the highway after she hooked it up , took a picture and rushed us out the lot, as well as a shredded tire on the tow dolly ready to blow out , knowing we are about to travel 2,000+ miles with 4 kids . WORST experience ever. I had to call roadside assistance immediately to replace the tire . Horrible customer service from Janelle Claiming it was all my fault and taking no blame for her actions. She was yelling over the phone and would NOT let me even speak !! After speaking with the supervisor I was reimbursed, and was told that should have never had happened and he apologized for her poor treatment and failed safety to us and anyone else who could have got hurt because of her negligence. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. All these horrible reviews really do reflect how Janelle treats her customers .

The rep inside the tiny office was unhelpful and condescending. I did not choose this rental location but due to truck availability my reservation was kicked to this location. When I stopped by to confirm my reservation, add-ons, and an earlier pick up time, the rep was extremely difficult to deal with. The tiny office smelled of marijuana. When I mentioned it she made some lame joke about a plant on her desk that most people think is a marijuana tree but to her its a money tree. Not a good representation of the U-Haul brand.
