I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but when I do, it’s for good reason.

First, Jeanette was lovely to work with - she was attentive and made the purchase process smooth.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a few weeks but only just found the time. Unfortunately, my experience after the purchase has been frustrating. The individual installing the dealership’s tracking devices clearly does not take pride in their work. A few days after buying my Volvo, I noticed an alarm sounding from the driver's side dash whenever I started the car. It took me a few days to figure out the cause.

It turned out the dealership hadn’t removed their tracker - or at the very least, hadn’t properly deactivated it after my purchase.

I decided to remove it myself. Having worked on cars my whole life, it’s a straightforward task. However, when I went to remove the lower dash cover, I discovered that someone had carelessly misaligned the top screw. Instead of securing it in the manufacturer’s designated hole, they had drilled it directly into the dashboard, cracking that portion of the dash cover. I can picture the person using a power tool with a Torx bit to secure it, knowing full well they had misaligned the screw and damaged the panel - the drill chuck also left a mark on the panel. This kind of carelessness and lack of pride in their work is unacceptable.

Needless to say, I removed the tracker and reinstalled the panel properly. I also noticed that all of the dealership's used vehicles have these tracking systems installed (evidenced by the “SWAT” stickers on the driver’s side windows). Shockingly, even the new vehicles display these stickers. I can only hope the installation process is handled more carefully on the new cars.

Perhaps the person performing these “SWAT” installations is only careless with used vehicles, but I strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting any car before purchasing from this dealership.

I had an excellent experience buying a new Honda CR-V Hybrid at Honda Marin. I felt so comfortable with Travis, our salesman, and did not feel pressured at all. He went above and beyond to make sure we knew everything about the vehicle and its features while working with me when it came time to close the deal. I couldn’t recommend him more. When it came time to work with finance, Evelyn took care of us, it was seamless and fast. Never felt pressured and we got a great car at a great price. Highly recommend Honda Marin and Travis in sales!

Today, I went to Honda Marin for the first time to have my car battery replaced. When I received the car, I opened the hood to inspect it before leaving, and to my shock, I discovered they had forgotten to secure a metal part that extends in front of the engine. They delivered my car without even checking their work properly!

I immediately spoke to both the manager and the service advisor, but their response was completely unacceptable—they acted as if this negligence was normal. This lack of attention to detail and dismissive attitude is beyond frustrating and unprofessional. Such carelessness puts customers’ safety at risk, and I expected far better from a trusted dealership like Honda Marin.

Had a great experience at Marin Honda ! Messaged them for a stock check and ended up buying the Honda civic the very same day. Geovanny and his manager worked with my budget and answered all my questions. They listened as I had already communicated with 2 other dealers and didn’t want anymore BS. I have been a customer of Honda Marin in the past and have generally had positive experiences. However, my most recent visit left me quite disappointed. I came in specifically to have my headlight fixed, but despite mentioning it, the issue was not addressed. Instead, I was charged $300 for a tune-up that I did not request, and my original concern—the headlight—remained unresolved.

I find this situation very unusual and concerning. I trusted your service team to address my request, but it seems my primary concern was overlooked.

I was blown away with how knowledgeable and kind my rep, Victor, was - he was extra attuned (no pun intended) to my concerns, examined my car as I stood there and also pointed out issues I hadn’t noticed. He kept me frequently and fully informed of their progress in fixing my car, and I ultimately drove away with what felt like a new car (even though was a 2016). I had dealt with two other Honda dealerships in another state before moving here, and I was just thrilled with the service and quality of work here at Marin Honda.
