My Triumph Street Twin 900 had some electrical gremlins, causing the instrumentation to power on and off. Was reluctant to take it in to the nearby factory dealership, given my experiences with them, so I brought the moto to K.C - and so glad that I did! Stephanie and the whole crew did an awesome job of diagnosing and repairing the wiring harness (one hour!) along with some normal maintenance items. Their prices are very reasonable (compared to the dealership!) and Stephanie was delightful and very professional with the status updates. Can’t recommend them enough. Thank you:)

My go-to for my Honda Helix and one of the few, if not the only, places in the city able to provide a brake/light inspection on my Helix for the DMV.

The business is about as old school SF as you could hope for; an honest breath of fresh air. They are fair with their prices, deliver high quality work, and have always been kind and gone out of their way to finish repairs quickly and explain the process involved.

Christina (hope I remembered her name correctly) is incredibly organized and communicative. On my last visit, Danny (one of the technicians) really went the extra mile on my behalf.

Highly recommend!

I Went for a damaged bolt removal and a front tire install.
When I got home the 4 bolts under the fork were very loose. So I decided to check everything they touch. The front Axel bolt was so tight. I could not loosen it up. I had to go back and have them do it.
Always check after picking up!!!
And by the way. No apologies from any of the staff when I went back.

Have brought three different bikes here over the years and always had great experiences. Work has been solid, done promptly and at a reasonable rate. Great team!

I have been a customer here for over a decade. My go-to place for tires, and have had their mechanics spot issues 'in development' that let me prevent them on more than one occasion. The owner removed a dent on my R1 rim so well you can't tell it was ever done, and that was after a previous mechanic (who dented it 'test' riding my bike) tried to hide the dent by hammering it out. Simply enough, KC is awesome.

I cannot recommend. While the staff is friendly and kind, after installation, I found many dings and gouges in the rims from not properly using guards for the tire irons. More importantly, the bolts for the rear calipers were not installed correctly causing the rear caliper to dislodge while riding, doing hundreds of dollars worth of damage, and almost causing an accident. Finally, I found the pinch bolt 1/4 of the way out, as if they completely forgot to tighten it. I will never go back, as they seem to do extremely careless work on things that could cause life-threatening injury if not done correctly.

Dunlop Sportmax Q3+ 120/50/17 front 190/55/17 back installed in a blink of an eye. Bout $500ish.. EDIT: Scratched my brand new rear rim and did not tighten the front brake calipers. Two bolts hold each front brake caliper, I heard something loose and thought it was the steering stem nut loosening, but I was literally 1.5 turns from losing the the only bolt that was left on each brake caliper. Yes lost one bolt and the caliper was clicking when I let off the brake.

Nice people, but... I like my life, so I won't EVER be back.

I needed a 15K mile service for my 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO. It was going to be weeks before I could get my bike into any local Ducati dealer for service. But Stephanie at KC Engineering gave me a quote on service to beat my Bay Area Ducati dealers and scheduled me for a week sooner than anyone else could. Stephanie later explained that the Ducati dealers prioritize warranty work over regular service which is why their wait times are usually weeks or months out.

I got my Ducati Monster back on schedule and even below the price she quoted me. Rowen (Senior Mechanic), Christina (Office Assistant), and Stephanie (Office Manager) were all very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It was fun to share riding stories with everyone and to hear theirs as well. When the office manager, Stephanie, knows more about the parts on your bike than you do, that is a great sign of experience. It was a pleasurable experience working with them and they will be my first call from now on for any work on my Monster, or if I need tips on taking any long motorcycle rides around California.

Also, I didn't know it before but they have an extensive supply of motorcycle parts and accessories hidden away above their garage. If you need some obscure part, like the battery tender to USB charger I needed, mirrors, tire patch kits, motorcycle battery tender, or anything, then you should call them to see if they have it. They probably will and you can pick it up the same day and save on shipping. An exceptional alternative to Cycle Gear if you need a part for your bike.

If you need any type of service for your Ducati, or ANY type of motorcycle parts or accessories, then KC Engineering is the best small local shop in the Bay Area. There motto is "If we can't fix it, then nobody can" and that makes me feel safe and secure taking my bike there.
