State law enforcement investigators and the Bureau of Automotive Repairs need to come into Laguna Beach and do a thorough check on all of the mom & pop auto repair shops in the city. I had a very bad experience with one repair shop on Coast Highway that took me to the cleaner’s financially. They nearly destroyed my Range Rover, and it cost me $17,500 last year to fix what those “experts” supposedly repaired. Laguna Beach is sadly ripe with these repair shops that prey on unsuspecting out-of-towners on vacation, charging exorbitant prices for repairs most don’t even warranty.

Owner took pictures of my car and said he would order the parts and let me know. That was a month ago…we spoke several times and he keeps promising but not delivering. How does he even stay afloat with that level of flakiness?

James Michael Ross, 59, the owner of Laguna Beach Collision Center, was arrested on Friday and is being held without bail, according to the Laguna Beach Police Department.

They say that he was previously charged in March with defrauding another person and grand theft, both of which are felonies.

In April, he was arrested in connection with six cases in which investigators allege that he stole multiple cars that had been brought to him for repair.

"Ross then drove these vehicles for his personal use and stopped contacting the owners of the vehicles," the LBPD statement said. "The owners were unable to contact Ross or regain possession of their vehicles, prompting them to report the crimes to the LBPD."

Absolutely recommend! The people who work here are so incredibly nice. They get the job done perfectly and fast! My car came back in perfect condition if not better than a new car. Regis was so kind to make sure everything would get done smoothly and quickly. I will definitely be back!

Owner took pictures of my car and said I would have an estimate emailed to me. One week later after no email/estmate I've left several vmails for the General Manager who won't take or return my call. Owner has said they appreciate local business - but clearly not.

Do not go here!!! Avoid this place at all costs unless you want someone to steal your car and take it for their personal use. I have no idea how this place is still in business!!!

OMG ! These guys are Amazzzing ! What’s great about this place is Michael is such a straight shooter. Michael and the boys did a fantastic job on my Baby, Audi S8! They repaired a ton of stuff and you can’t tell anything has been done. Well Done Guys! Thanks Again!
