I don’t see how this resort has less than 5 stars! Everything was perfect from the atmosphere in the lobby to the cleanliness of the rooms!!! The fantastic customer service in the Bin 189 restaurant (I forget the bartenders name, but he had a gray goatee) and the warm hospitality from the front desk staff (specifically Michelle) were amazing! Every staff member we encountered made us feel welcome! Can’t wait to stay here again!!!! 🩷

We come here annually with friends and always have a great time. The rooms and hotel, in general, could use some updates (wallpaper peeling, damaged floors, broken curtains) but overall our stay was great. We stayed in the corner suite and it was spacious and had a big balcony. We did not have power for an entire day due to fire/wind precautions that were beyond the hotel's control, but the staff was very accommodating and even brought several flashlights up to our suite. After check out, I noticed that I had been overcharged significantly. I contacted the hotel and was told a manager would be in touch. I had to call back a few days later to follow up, but thankfully Brittany answered the phone. She got to the bottom of the issue immediately (new billing system on their end so I was double billed) and refunded my credit card instantly. She also handled the entire situation professionally and with good old fashioned kindness. She turned this review into a 5 star! Thank you, Brittany. Because of YOU, we will be back next year and will continue to make this an annual adventure with friends!

Really nice. Super kid friendly... To the point that I may not go back because there were kids running amok until 1am, and I found it a bit hard to relax. Maybe if they had a bar/lounge area with a fireplace? The open lounge was large and lovely, but busy... Our room had a balcony that allowed us to really enjoy the lake view. So pretty!

Came up for a weekend in the snow with the kids and had an amazing experience! As soon as we walked into the lobby my five year old said “now this is my kind of place” 😂 we stayed last weekend and my kiddos are already asking to go back! Heated pools, movie nights, arcade and beach access were my kids favorite part! The spa, fitness center, steam room and smile on our kiddos faces all weekend were our favorite part! Staff were INCREDIBLY helpful and kind! Any request we had they went above and beyond to meet for us! Easy drive up the mountain and close to big bear!

Stayed here from 12/27-12/28 with loved ones. From the moment we arrived, Elijah greeted us at the front desk with a hospitable, upbeat attitude, ready to help make our stay fantastic. We asked if we could be upgraded to a room with a lake view if it hadn’t been booked, which Elijah did for us in a heartbeat. We enjoyed the beautiful ambiance of the resort as well as the heated pool and jacuzzi overlooking the serene water and the star decked sky. When we got back to our room and had various needs, someone at the front desk always answered the phone right away, with a can do attitude, helping us right away. We did not get to try the restaurant or spa, but will definitely be back to try these out again next time. Excellent and welcoming customer service is what sets this resort apart and makes it much better than anywhere else. Thanks for making it such a special holiday for us.

Disappointing Stay at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa

I had high expectations for our stay at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, but unfortunately, it was far from the relaxing experience we hoped for.

Room Condition
The room we were assigned was outdated and, frankly, not clean. The curtains were torn, the wall paper was torn, outlets didn’t work, and the tile in the bathroom was cracked with chipped grout everywhere. The TV guide did not work, the on demand feature did not work, and you are unable to access any streaming devices. It felt as though the room hadn’t been properly maintained in quite some time. For a resort that prides itself on luxury, this was very disappointing.

Spa Experience
We also visited the spa (aka Wellness Center), hoping for some relaxation and pampering, but were let down by the amenities. The women’s locker room was more like a basic gym locker room than a serene spa environment. There was only a jacuzzi and steam room—nothing like the full spa experience we were expecting. To make matters worse, there were no spa essentials such as deodorant, toothpaste, or even a simple hairbrush or comb. Instead, the only amenities available were towels, water, tea, and apples.

We stayed at this resort about 10 years ago and had an amazing experience. We came here to hole up in our room and binge watch shows and just relax, that was not in the cards for us. When we checked in they told us we would be staying in the Serenity Suite, the name did not match what we got. The photos on the website are deceiving. The website says, “The property offers modern comfort…”, I beg to differ. Considering the price of staying at this resort, we expected much more in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and relaxation. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a true spa retreat.

What an amazing location! Beautiful rooms, many with amazing views of the lake, and a charming campus to walk around.
Staff were all really incredibly helpful, EXCEPT in the hotel restaurant. It was like a whole different staff worked in there. There was one really nice waitress with braces who seemed like she was holding the whole place down, but the rest of the people we interacted with were very short, very matter of fact, and it took almost two and a half hours for our food to get to us. 2.5 hours. In the morning.. with one other table in there.

Despite that, I will absolutely be returning to this location and recommending it to others. There's lots of amazing places to get breakfast in town, and the hotel is beautiful and comfortable.

My husband and I spent a couple of days at the resort just to get away to mountains, pines, colorful leaves and the lake. The staff at the resort was wonderful from arrival and throughout our stay. I have to provide effusive feedback for Brittney. We were given a beautiful view room initially but the windows didn’t open. (Upon entry it fel a bit claustrophobic.) so we called the front desk and requested a balcony room. Brittney came up quickly and took us to a room with an incredible lake view with a sliding glass door. It was perfect. She was so nice about it, saying she just wanted us to enjoy our stay. Neveah at check in was positive and professional and made us feel welcome. The shower water pressure was excellent and simple to figure out, just a handle (rare these days). The pool was warm and clean; jacuzzi temp could have been a little higher. Housekeeping staff was really helpful and kind. Only negative is that the carpet in the elevators could be replaced. Stunning scenery from the hotel.
