Don’t believe all the negative Nancys say… our stay here was fantastic. We felt welcomed and we had a great night .the room was warm considering it was 40° outside. We came up here for a celebration of life ceremony and the owner was very accommodating and very gracious, we would definitely come back.

Stayed here for the 2024 Quail opener, gotta say it doesn't look like much from the road, but the rooms are retro awesome, spacious and functional. Ours had a generous separate kitchen with table, coffeepot, microwave, refrigerator, two burners and sink, great for cleaning up after a day in the field without having to dump everything in the bedroom. Bed was very comfortable, nice size bathroom, big closet, and very helpful staff members. Go back to the mid century kitsch you knew as a kid and enjoy your stay! Will definitely go back.

This is the best motel ever, the location and view insane. In between mountains and a lake. Each room has its own parking, tables outside your room, fire pit, grilled for barbecue, i really loved it. Im coming back for sure. Free wifi
And its pet friendly 🥰

Great place! Any reviews that give this place a low rating are mixing up motels with hotel expectations. We like motels as they all are unique. My wife booked the two bed room and had to reach out to customer service and had no troubles. They are pet friendly and that's a must for us as we have a German shepard puppy that we are trying to get used to new places. Our room had a separate section with a small fridge, microwave, and little table. So I was great for making sure the kids always had food at a moments notice. You don't need to ever talk to anyone if you don't want to. Its on a large lot. They have benches, bonfire pits, bbqs and a horse shoe pit(BYOS). Sure the room is old and could use a remodel, but they have newer TVs, and a block to charge gadget's. The only negatives are the beds are a little short for anyone over 6'(but that's not uncommon). also from a security aspect the second door out from the two bedroom room had an large gap to the jamb. It could easily be opened from the outside, and the bathroom window was unlocked when i arrived. This is not a concern to me, but any solo females may have concerns about that should always make sure the room is secure in any location they stay as many motels lack good security. Next time we come back we will absolutely stay here if we arnt camping at the lake.

Located right across the road from Lake Isabella, we knew going in that this was not a luxury hotel. We are perfectly satisfied with the bedding and the bath linens. All seemed very fresh and clean. The room had no odors. The shower worked well. But the window a/c unit could barely cool the room. The furniture was rickety, the carpet stained, the shower curtain was disgusting and the faucet and mirror were splashed with toothpaste. A little bit of TLC could go a long way here.

I hate to give anyone a bad review but this place was a dump. Good enough outside for me to book but inside was an absolute dump in every way including the giant cockroach I battled in the middle of the night. The guy that worked there was friendly, but why someone would own a place like that and not fix it up at least a little is beyond me. Pay the difference and go somewhere nicer.

Its a retro 1950's motel at a very good price, room was clean and great for just a 1 night stop over after a long amount of driving. This was a stopover during our honeymoon which we mentioned on our booking, I was very pleased and appreciated the effort the owners went to with this as they left us a happy honeymoon card along with a Mr & Mrs Glasses full of chocolate which was a lovely touch. If we (Or family or friends) find themselves in this area i would defiantly recommend a stay.

Riverfront property. Walking distance to shops and eateries. As well as walking to the lake. Next door to a Dollar General. Check-in was pretty great and convenient. The rooms are a little date but that's part of the charm. Parking spot is per room. Communal grill and picnic tables but the rooms have their own outdoor seating. The stove is ONLY for show. But there's a table, microwave, and mini fridge in the kitchen. The curtains, they were not strong enough to block out the sun, perfect for the early risers.
