An expert engineer. A go to for all OB problems. Inventive, creative and thorough. Had our Honda 15 running like new after our many hours of DIY failed. If you're not an expert, ultimately you have to go to one. Worth every penny. Runs better than it has done in the past 5 years and we already thought that was good running condition. Bill is a straight shooter. He made my motor run again and better. He also took the time to explain the repair and to talk about other motors etc. I could tell I found the right mechanic. Turn around time was fast and accurate. Definitely would recommend his shop as number 1 in the bay area..

I had called multiple outboard repair shops, and luckily most weren't terribly responsive. The first time I spoke with Bill at Marine Outboard, I knew I had found the right place.

My engine had been underwater from the prior owner, and it was not looking promising. Bill was very upfront about the fact that he would try to "put himself in my shoes" and figure out if it was possible to repair. He took a very thoughtful approach to what he would do to assess whether it was able to be fixed before digging in much further. He was very conscious of not having me spend too much if it wasn't able to be fixed.

I was amazed and very pleased when Bill called to let me know that the engine was back to running. Not only this but it now starts first pull, and runs like a top, I have to imagine as good or better than it did new.

I have had Marine work done by a variety of folks over the years, and Bill was one of the most thoughtful, qualified, and reasonably priced folks I've met. I highly recommend.

Fantastic work. Bill defines service. He did the little things that make such a difference. I bought a Nissan 6 HP off the internet and it was running poorly. Bill recommended that I use the warranty (which I had not realized), fixed the engine to perfection, plus he cleaned the outside of the engine and repaired my engine dolly holder (which I had installed incorrectly). Doing excellent engine repair coupled with going the extra mile makes my experience 5 stars. I will be a customer for life. Nicely done Bill!

I had a Tohatsu 18hp 2-stroke that needed a steering mount replaced as a result of a storm I ran into coming from San Diego. I thought I would need to wait until San Diego or even replace the part myself later. Nonetheless I called Marine Outboard and talked to Bill who was by far one of the best persons to deal with in repairs etc. He was friendly and honest in what he had to say. My engine was repaired fairly quickly and even needed to be taken back as it would quit and Bill fixed it free of charge. Overall the experience was great and if you need a Tohatsu/Nissan repaired go here. Absolutely friendly and reasonable service!
