Super fast and super good. Got my chain and 1 brake pad replaced and I got everything tightened. I signed up for an appointment, brought in my bike for a tuning at 9am and got it back at 4pm. If you work at Stanford Research Park or nearby the shop, you are eligible for a $50 rebate from Stanford. Not bad!

Jake gave incredible service. He fixed my girlfriend’s bike quickly and explained what he did in a way that I could easily understand. He wasn’t pushing for a sale but did answer my questions on the differences between her bike and a newer bike. He also offered to help with questions if we did decide to buy a new bike, even if it wasn’t through Mike’s Bikes. Jake is the man!

First, I brought an old mountain bike which had squeaky brakes. The brakes were also spongy. I thought maybe they needed to be bled, but Jake looked at them, and said, "I think they're installed wrong.". He took them off, put them back on correctly, and my troubles were gone. I was very impressed. Took 15 minutes, and 20 bucks.
My 2nd one was an ancient road bike, where a modern GaterSkin tire wasn't clinching onto the rim correctly. Brendan figured that one out, and that bike is back as my son's commute bike!

I had a problem with my left brake. As soon as I explained the problem, the staff told me that I assembled my front wheel in an opposite direction and let me first try to reassemble it before making an appointment. I just did it and it worked well. Thank you so much!

I stopped by shortly before close with a completely flat tire and no appointment. The staff were very friendly and prompt, replacing my tire right away. It was a very positive experience. On top of that, they shared information with me about free services for Stanford staff, and I didn’t have to pay for the tire! The experience made a very frustrating commute home much less frustrating. Thank you!
