Everything about monarch truck rentals was great. Please support local companies like this over the big franchises! Their trucks are much better than competitors, the suspension is smooth and doesn’t bounce your cargo like crazy. The windshield is clear and wipers actually work. The rails and tracks in the box are in good condition for securing cargo. And most of all the people are great! Can’t recommend them enough. We’ve rented from them 10+ times.

I recently purchased a commercial truck from Monarch, where Bob was our sales person, and unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory. Despite negotiating and confirming the inclusion of a tarp with the purchase, the truck was delivered without this crucial item.

This omission has not only inconvenienced me but also raised concerns about the seller's commitment to honoring negotiated agreements. It's disheartening when a seller doesn't follow through on their promises, impacting the overall value and functionality of the purchase.

I urge potential buyers to exercise caution and thoroughly communicate with Bob to ensure all negotiated items are delivered as agreed upon. Learn from my experience and make sure everything is in writing to avoid any disappointments down the road. I would recommend besides having everything in writing to also record the conversation during purchase time.

"Despite reaching out to Bob, we were unable to find a resolution, and unfortunately, no remediation was offered. This situation is further complicated by the misleading information provided by your sales representative. While he initially suggested a refund for the truck, which I accepted immediately, he insisted that I bring the truck back right away and couldn't wait another day. Given that I live almost two hours away and need to arrange transportation, this has created an additional challenge. It's disheartening to encounter such difficulties. For prospective buyers, it is essential to meticulously document every minor detail in the contract. Clear and explicit documentation is crucial as previous assurances have not been consistently upheld. Be careful

Gustavo, I just got word from Bob that he reached out to you and had a conversation over the phone. I'm pleased to hear that you're satisfied with your truck, and it's positively impacting your business. According to Bob, the issue regarding the tarp not being on the truck was a result of a miscommunication between you, Bob, and the body company.
As per Bob's explanation during your phone call, there is no written mention of a tarp that needed to be installed on your truck in the order form you signed. Additionally, you were not billed for a tarp on the order form that you acknowledged. We apologize for any confusion and would like to offer our assistance in coordinating with the body company to have a tarp installed if you wish. You can choose which tarp and pay them directly. Please let us know if you would like us to proceed with making these arrangements.

The service here is phenomenal! I needed to move from Campbell to San Mateo and had an upright player piano to move. I needed a truck with a lift gate to navigate the piano. The staff was extremely knowledgeable in helping me pick out the right sized truck, and even shared where I could find a coupon online to get the best price! They were very patient in teaching me the in's and outs of the lights and levers inside the cab (finding the emergency lights was a challenge!). They also recommended where to go to get the best price on diesel when I returned the truck.

Mr.Travis Duarte is so nice and understanding. He helped us arrange towing and fixed our truck door lock. The door lock missing parts for more than 2 years and other shops could not get it.

Customer be aware!!!
It’s the most bad experience with their rental service especially how their managers Shelly deal with the things with us,rude and aggressive!

On Nov 9th,we rent a 26ft truck from Monarch and state that we need to go to LA,they provide a truck which after we load the furnitures on the way to LA in the night,we got a notice from the police men that the brake lights is not illuminate and ask us to go back,the pic show as attach,then we have to stop and change a truck,then horribly we find that the inside of the box truck have leaking and all of our furnitures are get wet because of the whole night rain.we spend another 5hours to change the truck and On Nov 10th when we finish we send the truck back and explain everything to Monarch,they said their customer will contact us on Mon Nov 13th.

Right,On Nov 13th their manager did contact me and said could offer me 10%of the bill discount,I explained again that if their trucks brake light doesn’t goes off I will not need to return the truck and if they do check the leakage inside my furnitures will not get wet.They insists that’s not their problem and could offer me 20% and state that the truck is ok. And they will not ask me to fix the brake light!that ridiculous!We can’t get agreement and they just charged me in full bill at the end.

I was depressed not only because of the truck problem,even through I have to pay the movers for changing the truck and compensate the wet furnitures.most important their attitude towards the customer ,very rude and aggressive.

I attach the pic of the problem which apparently showed the truck we get on that day,brake light doesn’t illuminate and the floor is wet when we return the truck.

I will definitely contact bbb to file this complaint and hope all the customer and moving company could be aware of this rental company.
