He sold me a used boat motor and me before I saw it that it was fairly new and it came with motor controls and transom for 3000 and under 200 to mount it. So I paid him for the motor. A few days later he told me the motor was16 years old and the controls were bad and had to get new ones. So when I picked up the boat he charger me 600 more. Then I took it out once and the transom worked once. I took it back and he told me the part would cost another 260 plus tax and installation. I asked for my money back and he just laughed at me.

Service was wonderful, needed assistance with our trim lift. They ordered us a new one quickly had the part, then untangled our wiring system to make it work. Great guys, very knowledgeable and put up with all our questions. Will always go to them for service. Thanks MOUNTAIN HOME MARINE, you do wonderful work!

I do NOT take your boat here to get any work done... They are very slow. I took my boat in for a carburetor cleaning, 5 weeks later and they still have my boat, its still not fixed. And no communication from them. And he wants to charge me over 600.00 to rebuild the carburetors and that wasn't the problem. I do recommend him what a rip off.

In response to the not so good reviews. I would like to apologize to those that had a less than great experience with us. I was very sick in 2021 and spent more time in the hospital than I did out of it. I suffered a heart attack early on in the year followed by needing a transfusion in June to kidney failure in the latter part of the year resulting in me going on dialysys. I was not present to oversee the work we were putting out at the time like I needed to be. I am now back in the shop to serve you to the best of my ability. Please feel free to contact me with any issues we might can resolve. Again, I apologize to anyone that was not satisfied with our work in 2021, it is not by any means the type of work I am known for providing. Thank you.

Update: We decided to try to work on what we can by ourselves using the manual. In one day we found the sterndrive oil is almost bone dry, the steering fluid very low and extremely dirty, and the the fill/drain plug on the drive needs replacing (where we saw the leak that we initially told him about when we first brought it to him). Pretty sad 2 inexperienced people found out more in one day than this so called certified mechanic who got paid $317 for doing what?
Do not recommend at all. We brought our boat to Glen on the first week of June for dewinterization, a black/brown oil leak on left propeller, and trim falling down. He never communicated or his workers didn't call with updates. We had to call consistently. He replaced trim cylinder and did the dewinterization. We FINALLY picked up the boat on June 24th. We then noticed hydraulic fluid was leaking out where he replaced the cylinder. The boat did not run good when we tested it that same day we picked it up. We then called about the trim cylinder leaking and other issues. She said he went on a call and to bring boat back tomorrow (June 25th). Apparently, according to Glen, we now were in the back of the line and had to wait. Once again he never called at all. We called every week and he said he kept saying he would get to it at the end of the week (each week the boat sat there), he never did. All he did since day 1 is either change his story, or his workers told us something different, or he'd claim he'd get to it that week. We went and picked the boat up on July 16th. I asked him if the boat was looked at all because it's been here almost a month between June 25th and July 16th. He said it has not been there a month, blah blah blah. I argued that we picked it up June 24th and brought it back the next morning when they opened back up. He said my husband was rude to him about the the dewinterization. I explained to him we were not trying to be rude whatsoever but we expected oil change, fuel filter, etc not just having water ran through it. He told me good luck finding a place not a month behind. When I walked over to the boat to get it hooked up the oil leak is still on the propeller, so nice to know we're back to square 1. He has ridiculously poor customer service skills, no communication whatsoever and is rude himself. All we wanted is an honest answer to our questions and a date. I didn't care if he couldn't get to the boat right away, he could have told us that. Oh and just because it's an older boat with some interior issues, I really didn't appreciate him having the engine cover and bench stacked on the cushions causing a split. Will never go back here for any boat service.

This boat repair shop is a rip off. Told me my boat would be ready Friday... They didn't start working on it till Friday night. Now they say other things are wrong besides the original problem. I feel robbed.

We had a terrible experience with or boat repair service. Do not get your boat repaired here!! What should of been a 30 min job took a month, they lost parts, and did not put our lower end back together correctly!! Charged us triple. Tried to steal our propeller!
