My son and I came to this dealership to inquire about Civic Type R. We was greeted right away when we came in. We stated our purpose and asked for the sale rep who we contacted prior to come here. As soon as he introduced himself, he asked us if we wanted to go for a test drive to see if we like the car. We said yes right away!!!! We had been to several places from San Jose, Hayward, and Dublin to see if we can test drive the car, but they pressured us to agreed on the price before we can even test drive it. Obviously, we didn't.
The sale rep, sale manager, and finance rep at Ocean Honda were very helpful and easy to work with. We didn't not feel any pressure through out the whole process. They tried to work with us to solve any solution or consider that we had.
Thank you to Jacob, Dylan, and Kelvin for an awsome experience. I will definitely come back here and will also recommend Ocean Honda to my family members and friends. I guess we save the best for last. The only regret we have was that we should have gone to you guys earlier.

This place takes good care of veterans. I must have applied at 10 other places, nobody would approve me but Ocean Honda found a way. When I told them I couldn't afford the payment, they figured out a way to make it affordable. I'm impressed, they even helped me out with a free loaner car twice.

Great job Ocean Honda, you changed my life. If you don't think you can get financed, I highly recommend calling Alex or Michael. They're probably all great, but those are the salesmen that helped me.

I recently bought a new CRV from Ocean Honda, and while I love the car, my experience with the dealership was frustrating. Each time I visited, I felt like I had to scrutinize every detail to ensure I wasn’t being misled. Despite clearly stating that I needed an AWD vehicle for outdoor adventure and travel, I ended up with a front-wheel drive model.

After I purchased the car, I requested a copy of the vehicle's sticker for my records. I was told that it was unavailable due to system issues, but after further follow-ups, I was given vague explanations and later told the system was not down. This left me feeling as though something was being hidden.

The purchasing process was full of misleading information—the warranty I agreed to pay extra for was different than what was written out in the deal. Additionally, I was told my loan was an "options" loan and that I had 30 days to change if I found a better rate. When I followed up with finance, they had never heard of such an option, and I was told once the loan was processed, it was final.

Despite these issues, the car was a great find, so I decided to stay the course. The entire process was stressful and not as transparent as I would have liked. I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. I was ready to buy a car, but after my terrible experience with Jeff I ended up walking right out the door. From the beginning of our interaction to the end, he was unprofessional, patronizing, and just plain rude. I took my business to Salinas Honda, and now I’m very happy with my Hybrid AWD Touring CR-V.

Way too unprofessional, they sell one car to my sister without explanation of the deal. They sell their car with false information and charger $6,851.71more than the normal price. And forced her to get accessories to the car when she say no twice and ensure for the accessories when she say no . Plus that inside to the store was the seller name Jacob and another coworker are in the front desk talking about the issues my sister has with the car and issue inappropriate language front of us and more customers . Terrible service and this people not respect for others.

DECEIVED and MISLED. You will be, too..

Use another dealership. Don’t do what I did and many others with awful things to say about Ocean Honda did.

Sales and Finance department CANNOT BE TRUSTED. They will manipulate you in all kinds of ways into paying more for your vehicle. BEWARE OF ADD ON ACCESSORIES. I had $7000 of them. Added on to my contract without my consent. BEWARE OF HONDA CARE PACKAGE and CAR DOC MAINTENANCE in the fine print of your sales contract.

Ocean Honda will lead you to believe that it’s necessary to purchase APPEARANCE PROTECTION PLATINUM and ELO GPS with your vehicle. It is not. This is illegal. Make sure they are removed from your negotiations.

They sold me a FAULTY Acura. I agreed to purchase a different car from them. A 2025 Honda CRV. They DECEIVED me into believing I’d receive a full refund. The numbers were manipulated on my sales contract and I LOST $14k.

Staff in all departments are UNRESPONSIVE. I wrote to them multiple times. Nothing back. Went in and I was LIED TO about the promises they made.

I cannot say enough bad things about this place. Daylight robbers. Salesperson ALAN D CANNOT BE TRUSTED. BEWARE.

I write this review so that others don’t end up in the same trench that I’m in because of Ocean Honda Santa Cruz. I intend to have Ocean Honda’s business practices investigated by the Federal Trade Commission, DMV and the Better Business Bureau. Reach out if you have had similar experiences.

Shady practices and unresponsive management.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this dealership for over 10 years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and has completely eroded my trust. At the end of my lease, I was offered a purchase option that was outrageously overpriced—$55,000 for a 2-year-old car with 29,000 miles that originally cost $30,000 new. My lease paperwork clearly stated the purchase price at $18,200, yet I was pressured into paying far more.

I was also sent a text claiming I had a $1,984 credit that had to be used before December 24th, which turned out to be false. A friend of mine received the exact same message, which seems like a deceptive tactic to lure customers in.

To make matters worse, the salesperson was pushy about selling additional warranties and gap insurance. After repeatedly declining, I finally agreed to a $5/month gap insurance charge just to move things along, but I wasn’t even given documentation for it.

When I was asked to sign the paperwork electronically, I was not shown the 7.45% interest rate I would be paying over the next six years. I was assured that I would be receiving a much lower rate due to my excellent credit and the dealership’s partnerships with major banks. However, the details of the financing, including the interest rate, were not clearly disclosed before I signed. This lack of transparency left me feeling misled, as I trusted the dealership to act in good faith and provide clear information about such a significant financial commitment.

What’s even more frustrating is that I reached out to management about these issues over a week ago and still haven’t received any response. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.

This experience has left me feeling taken advantage of, stressed, and disappointed. I’ve been loyal to this dealership for years, but after this ordeal, I will never return and cannot recommend it to anyone.
