10/10 experience here ALL around! Exactly what you'd wish modern-day car buying to be. Incredible service, beautiful showroom, the product (Polestar 3) is absolutely stunning, and efficient and transparent purchasing process.

Best car buying experience I've ever had. I really enjoyed everyone who works there at Polestar, but especially Joey! He was kind and patient and the opposite of a pushy sales guy. Disappointing Service from Polestar Marin

I purchased my Polestar 2 from Polestar Marin, and while I absolutely love the car itself, my experience with this dealership has soured my overall impression of the brand.

Communication with Polestar Marin has been a persistent issue, particularly since I came from out of state. Before and during the sale, responses were spotty and delayed. Post-sale, the situation has only worsened. Arizona requires specific title documents from the dealership to complete vehicle registration, and despite weeks (now going on months) of follow-ups, Polestar Marin has not sent the necessary paperwork to the Arizona DMV.

The latest update I received from my sales rep was that Polestar Financial Services (PFS) is "prioritizing" getting my documents sent. However, when I spoke with PFS early in the process, their representative clearly stated that they do not handle this task—it is the dealership’s responsibility. At this point, I don’t know who to believe, and this lack of transparency only adds to my frustration.

What makes this situation worse is that the dealership does not provide updates unless I initiate contact. My temporary permit is now close to expiring, and I will likely need to renew it at my own expense—a completely avoidable cost if Polestar Marin had handled their responsibilities in a timely manner.

I have also read a very similar review from another out-of-state customer who faced the same documentation and communication issues for months. This seems to be a recurring problem, so perhaps buyer beware if you’re not a California resident.

Additionally, my emails to the manager, Jorge, have gone unanswered multiple times, adding to the stress of this already challenging situation. This lack of accountability and professionalism has turned what should have been an exciting and seamless experience into a highly stressful one.

I expected far better from a dealership representing such an innovative and premium brand. Polestar Marin needs to improve its communication, post-sale support, and handling of out-of-state transactions to ensure other customers do not face these avoidable issues.

On Dec 26, I bought a 2021 Polestar 2 "Certified Pre-owned" with 15,xxx miles.
The car fax was clean, and Polestar Marin mentioned no issues other than it used to be a rental.

When first seeing the car it looked good. No obvious issues other than the normal wear from it being used. I take the car home, and a few days later I washed it and thats when I noticed sanding marks on the drivers door from previous body repair that was done poorly. There are small pores from improper repair. I brought it to their attention and was basically told it was my problem (not verbatim). I have asked for copies of their inspection and have yet to receive anything. They also said that they rely on the Carfax which seems to me like they either dont do good inspections on their "Certified" preowned cars or they do none and say well car fax says its good to go.

I say all this to say, make sure you get a thourough inspection and dont trust that you are getting quality just because it says "Certified" preowned.

Also the car is scheduled to go in for warranty repair on front right suspension noise at polestar san Jose, and they are not willing to pick up the car for service. Polestar website says up to 150 miles pickup and delivery but they will not honor that. Im 60 +/- miles from polestar san jose and they will only do 20miles.

Not impressed with the Customer disservice.

I Spoke with Diana Kennedy,
Not sure why we needed to talk if all Diana said was the same thing as their sales guy, they will not help correct the issue.

All Diana stated was they they could not do anything about the bad body repair, Diana explained their process which is very suspect, their technicians do a "Visual check but cannot make any recommendations outside of their expertise" and they rely on carfax.
What this sounds like is that they have a multipoint inspection that they just check off in order to say the car is "Certified Pre-owned" then mark the price up, and sell you a car that is not in good condition. Shady Shady Shady.

The complete conversation was me explaining the issue, and Diana saying theres nothing they can do to help, and a brief explanation about the "certification" process.
I asked again bout them not being able to help, and received confirmation that they would not help.
I then expressed that there was no need to continue the conversation since nothing is going to be done anyways.
The call was 2min 42second long.

Please make sure you check your car thouroughly, and good luck with polestar customer service, if you find their customer service, help me out and point me to their direction because they seem to be missing.

I am also having issues with warranty repairs but through Polestar Palo Alto.
The polestar website says pick up and delivery upto 150 miles, but palo alto will only do 20miles. This was part of why I bought the car and "certified" preowned. But they will not honor that either.

I am not one to post reviews but Polestar so far has been nothing but a pain and people need to know how bad it is.

I Should have stayed with Japanese, or Korean car manufacturers, or even the Big 3.
