BUYER BEWARE!!! Just before I handed them my cash, I did a final walk around the car hauler I was purchasing. The workmanship was horrible! Welds that are burned through the steel. Steel crossmembers cut unevenly with a torch and not even ground smooth. Jagged edges all over. Safety pins that did not line up or fit correctly. I thought a twelve year old child fabricated this trailer. The salesman kept saying it was a well built trailer. Sure, maybe on the MOON! I would not take a trailer from them for $0.00.

Bought a 24 ft 14k trailer from them. Trailer part is built well. They’ve got some Mickey Mouse spring and shackles combination. 5065 John Deere tractor bottoms the axles out to the frame( 2 7,000lb axles). I sent pictures and everything to them. They refuse to contact me back( I even offered to swap all the parts over myself and ship the old parts back). I was planning to purchase a dump trailer from them as well, but after this experience, definitely will be going elsewhere. Now I’m having to supply and replace all the parts on my dime, just to be able to use the trailer without damaging my axles. Definitely don’t recommend them to anyone. Poor customer service from a factory defect.

It's 7:35am as I type this. I live in tanner Williams up road from port city. I was literally on my wY up there at 9am when they open to buy a 10k or more car hauler until I read these reviews. I've been there on several accasions to buy parts for my other trailers but never bought a trailer from them. Each time I've been the customer service was terrible. I thought they may have been having a bad day as all places do. But after reading these reviews.... WOW!!! Nevermind. I'll go up the road to get me a car hauler. It's a shame that they don't care enough about the people in their community to put forth an effort to change their ways. They may not care but they literally just lost a sale today.

Very poor customer service. I called and asked the owner for a picture of the trailer and he just said that it looks like all of the other similar trailers. Acted like he was too important to answer my questions. At this point I went ahead and placed a deposit but only because they were the only one that had this model in stock at that time. They would not take my check, rather they wanted to charge me extra for using my debit card. Supposedly their check checking service declined my check but when I called the service could not find any information about them screening my check or account. Same with my bank. I did all of this on speaker with Port City employees listening and they still insisted that I pay extra for using my card and would not accept my check. Rather, the office manager was will to take my check at this point but the owner refused. Read that again, even with my bank stating that no one tried to verify my account and their service saying the same thing. And my bank verifying funds were available. After all of this, they sold me the wrong trailer!!! I returned it and bought it from a competitor up the road, much better customer service. I really wish I had read reviews prior to calling them. I went off of the recommendation of a co-worker - never again.

If zero stars was allowed. Basically bought a trailer 8 months ago. It's a 6x14 utility trailer single axle. I only had two mowers on this trailer and the tires are wore in the inside. Last trailer I had took 2yrs for the tires had to be changed. So I reached out to the people who sold me this trailer. Even the mechanic said something was wrong. Well now it's a problem about repairs. One way is almost 4hrs and the dealership I bought it from is closer but no help. So now I'm stuck with a defective trailer that I'm paying for. Buying from these dealership isgetting to be a hassle and headache. They will sale it to you but won't fix it as quick

I had my fifth wheel hitch installed here and it was a complete disaster. I realized when I got home that the heads of the bolts weren't seated correctly. I called back and was told that they just needed to be tightened. Tightening the bolts is probably the most important part of this whole installation considering I will be pulling 14000 LBS. I then realize that my back up sensors are no longer working. I take my truck back and right out of the gate, they smear grease all down the side of it. I was told by the guy working on it when I took it back that he was working on it the first go around and got pulled off. Well the side he worked on didn't have any shims under the rails, so what happened there. The back up sensors were no longer working because the same employee had cut all of the wires when he installed the plug in my bed. They assure me everything is finished and good and as I pull off, my spare tire is clanging around under my truck because they failed to tighten it back up after lowering it to do their rework. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for anything. VERY dissatisfied customer who paid $500 for this service missed 10 hours of work not to mention the diesel wasted going back and forth from over an hour away.

I had an enclosed trailer that needed the door replaced so I went to Port City, where I originally bought it. They said they could fix it and have it back "in a few days". Well, those few days turned into 6 weeks and spanned the time from Thanksgiving thru New Year's. The first time I checked on the progress I was told they had not had time to go pick up the door from the supplier. After that, each time I was told the door hadn't come in yet. I don't know which was true. Anyway, 6 weeks later the trailer was ready and I picked it up. The work was well done and I'm satisfied with the final product. But the staff (THE ENTIRE STAFF) that I talked to each time was unfriendly and acted as though it was a bother to them to deal with me. After the trailer was there 2 weeks I went online and found the exact same door that I needed, contacted the vendor, and could have had it shipped to me within 3 days and put it on myself. But I didn't. I let Port City finish the job. However, I will NEVER take my trailer backback for work OR do business with them again. They act like they're the only game in town but they're not.

We have a 7x14 utility trailer from Port City. Same complaints as others awful welds with lots of splatter that wasn't cleaned, Boards were supposedly pressure treated and they rotted out in 3 years even after we stained them, the coating is a joke and has already faded, lots of sharp edges to be cut on, the spare wheel, chains, jack etc already have a significant amount of corrosion due to them being sub par quality, wiring for the lights hanging from the bottom of the trailer, etc etc etc. This trailer is stored in West Mobile county not near the salty air of the Gulf. My 5x10 UTLO brand trailer is 3x as old and does not have the same problems.
