Once again, I was done in by a large car rental agency, who refused to rent a minivan to me without a credit card. Debit card? No ma'am, sorry, not for "this size vehicle." Arg! In a fit of genius, I remembered Ritz. I called, and they said no problem. They've since moved to a nicer location, though it is a little more tucked away. It's in a strip mall with several interesting looking restaurants and a hair salon. There's a little outer waiting area, which is tidy and clean with several chairs (including that lovely "couch" made from the back seat of a minivan). Within 24-hours of my initial call to Ritz, I walked away with a Toyota Sienna minivan, and our camping trip was back on! The best part, their rates were competitive with the large rental agency that had denied me service, so I'm not paying more. In fact, I think the total cost was slightly less. I love when that happens! Note: when we arrived, we waited a little for them to open. They provide free pick-up for clients arriving from LAX, so if you get there during normal hours and the office is closed, consider waiting a little because they may be making such a trip (or consider using the service yourself).

My wife and I went on a vacation to LA and unfortunately I don't have a credit card big enough to rent a car from “official” rentals like Enterprise. She doesn’t have a drivers license so we thought we were out of luck for a rental, which would have made our trip to Pomona impossible.

Luckily Ritz Rental accepts deposits with either cash or debit. Sure, the car we got wasn’t in the best shape, but for someone like me under 25 and with no other options, this was perfectly fine.

It’s a small hole in the wall kind of shop and easily missed. All the employees were fair and nice to us during our visit. They also offer a free shuttle to and from LAX airport, which was great.

I highly recommend Ritz if you’re in the area. The prices are set fairly and if you’re in a similar situation like I was, Ritz car rental will help you out. Will definitely consider them again.

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! Been renting from them for 10 years now. Ray, Moses and Ali have always been very friendly and accommodating. They always pick us up at LAX whether its been a group of 5 or 28, they have come to LAX with the needed vehicles so we can get everyone in one trip. Our trips have been into Mexico and their vehicles have never let us down. The rates are always more than fair. Ritz is the only place I rent from in LA. They may be a smaller independent rental shop, but the service is second to none. You deal with the owners, and they stand by their word. BEST CAR RENTAL PLACE IN LA.

Horrible experience. Yes they take cash and true. This place is a rip off. They rented me a 2005 dented up Honda Accord and paint pilled in spots. Check the car out before u pay. They don't bring the car up front until you pay. They charge regular price for an old car. Horrible experience on my birthday. Be cautious. These good comments I'm reading about throw this place is FAKE NEWS.

Ritz Rent a Car saved my vacation ! professional, courteous , and all around a great help . I traveled 2400 miles to L.A. and he got me in a nice SUV for the week !!! Thanks!!! Maybe not brand new but definitely reliable transportation and no credit card was needed returned deposit with no questions.

I have to share my experience with RITZ rental company. When I arrived from NY at the end of the summer so I really needed a car. I had a reservation at ALAMO but they did not want to rent me a car, because I did not have a name on my European bank card and my American bank card they did not want to accept because it was only debit not credit. The girl who worked there (I did not know her name but I would like to thank her) she just called RITZ and Moses came to for us for free. He rent me SUV for a very fair price, even when I was only a 24-year-old J1 student. I was afraid because it's a small independent company, but it eventually ended well, and He took me to an airport for free. Finally, when I came home to Europe, they sent me via whatsapp invoice, because I forgot to pay the toll (in Europe it works a little differently, they could point out so be careful), I already closed my account in American bank, so I did not know how to pay my toll violation. Finally, I made a deal with Moses that I sent him money via paypal and they wiped my dept on tollroads. He was really nice and kind to us, what I really appreciated. He helped me when I had trouble with toll violation. Do not be afraid as I was, do not hesitate and go ahead and rent a car at RITZ rental company. I will rent a car in this company again for sure when I will be back at LA. 5/5*

Ritz car rental helped me and my girlfriend out in a verry desperate situation. Firstly i made a reservation through online at Economycarrentals by my prepaid debit MasterCard and it seemed to be alright, but when we arrived to The car rental they were denying my card and they wanted a credit card which I sadly didnt have. After a desperate and stressfull night I found ritz rent a car online and luckily it stated that they are accepting cash for deposit. We visited them that afternoon and fortunatelly everything went smoothly. They accepted The cash for deposit so we made a contract then we got The car and thank god our roundtrip was saved. First off, they are liars. We rented a car from this place. Day one the car gave us issues. The car wouldn’t start, major body issues as in cracks, dents, scratches, you know it name. We contacted the “manger” he told us to find someone to help with the car . He then said, “he didn’t know that we are out of towners”. But keep in mind he has a picture of my DL. After, me threatening to escalate the issue he finally reached out two hours later to “help.” Yes, he offered to exchange the car the next day but we would have to meet him instead of accommodating us. Next morning, woke up with a flat tire, again no help . I’m writing this to say I’ll rather walk to any destination than to rent from this place again. This is a scam, please don’t rent from this place . Not worth it. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend.
