Im in the market for a new bike so i called to get a price on a kawaski. The listing online says “ON SALE” so i ask what is if there is any “SALE” price they could not give me a number. The guy on the phone Tyler then gives the phone to his MANAGER/OWNER which then starts to tell me “i cant make a purchase over the phone, come on down lets make a deal business is made in person not over the phone” yet to give me a price period. Then proceeds to hang up, pretty rude if you ask me.

I called back and asked why he hung up on me, he said he thought our conversation was over. I then told him “i never got a price for out the door or the “ON SALE” price. He said see we dont have time to waste we are a small business making sales left and right, so i cant waste my time if you arent ready to buy. We have been doing this for over 50 years we can make a deal in person not over the phone.

Doesnt seem very welcoming. If you cant have a normal conversation, answer a simple question, wouldnt want to see what the sales man ship is like in store.

This Motorcycle Shop is a great place to do business. My friend and I drove down from San Francisco because we were looking for a new Pair of sport bikes and this shop had both listed in stock. When we arrived we did find the front door locked and that’s when we found out it was appointed only. So we called and the staff had us in ten minutes later.

When ended up buying two motorcycles that day. Staff had the bikes ready to go and we were headed back to SF In relatively good time. Staff was great to work with and very polite. I am happy to follow up with the paperwork, license plates, and warranty were all done in good order. Would definitely buy from this shop again especially since I am now in the market for a side by side.

Bought a brand new dual sport, paid a couple hundred dollar “dmv fee” at the dealership-never recieved my registration or license plate in a 90 day period. Ask them via text message if they could help me, no reply. Put dealer mark up on a year old motorcycle after advertising it’s “on sale”.

I saw a 2003 GSX-R 1000 for sale in the cycle trader and was unable to qualify for financing, but they let me put a deposit down and held the bike for me. I was given their word they would hold it, and they did. They were courteous and profesional. They answered all of my questions and were very responsive. I was able to make the purchase within a couple weeks and the transaction went smooth and I felt like they were honest and appreciated my business. I guess you get back what you give...not sure why others have had such bad experiences as I had nothing but a positive experience with these guys. I LOVE MY BIKE...THANKS GUYS! You guys rock...I loved ringing the bell...lol

BAD business practices. I would steer clear from this dealer, save your time (and money!). Will never give you OTD price over the phone and you have to make an appointment just to walk in.. will also RUN YOUR CREDIT without your authorization.(I have purchased from them before so I guess they had my info ready)..
called me Saturday morning 4/20/24 saying they’d give me a “good deal” but of course only in person, SO I head on over there to my surprise (not surprised after viewing all the reviews..) their OTD was about 1k over than any other dealer had quoted me and had already “called banks to get a monthly payment price” when I clearly stated on the phone I had a loan approved from my credit union already! All I asked was to know this “deals” OTD price. After all of it they had another gentleman come in and try to work out a better price, I would assume only because of their mistakes, walked away and gave my money to Gilroy’s motorcycle center. This dealer needs a new Owner or needs to be shut down, can’t believe they’re still around after all of of these events including other customers.

Motorcycle buying is supposed to be a positive experience. That fact is lost on the guys at Salinas Motorcycle Center. I read the bad reviews that are on Google about this place and I didn't want to believe them so I gave then a chance. Sad to say from my experience they are true. Their business practices are shady, they use tactics to get you in the door and then add mark ups to "on sale" bikes. I wanted to buy a ZX6R but they wouldn't give me a quote online. I don't live close by and I wanted to trade in my current Motorcycle, guess what? No trade in offer online either, not even a ball park estimate, they just told me they wouldn't give me KBB trade in value(respect the honesty on that piece LOL). They wanted me to ride my trade in a far distance with no quote and no trade in estimate, when their reviews are this bad? Yeah no way. Save your time shop somewhere else that gives you quotes online or at the VERY least a place that tells you what the mark up is up front. They say its a staffing issue why they can't give online quotes but every other dealer I've talked to gave me a quote same day over the phone it's not that hard to add up the MSRP, freight, dealer prep, DMV fees, tax etc and send it over. That takes less time than it did for this guy to try to explain to me theres a mark up on a bike thats "on sale". The reason they don't do online quotes is to add mark ups after the fact. Hope this helps someone else, ride safe everyone.

Very disappointed in this place. Much to say from purchase date to today . Called about a warranty on a atv that we purchased a month ago. was told they where understaffed that i would get a call back and never heard back from them even getting in to the store is a headache. we drove out a long way to come to this store but i will say your better of buying what they got in store. online its half the price mostly chines motors you can get on amazon. They are not helpful at all when your stuff breaks and it will break i can assure that. save your time and business. do not go to this dealer. Firm believer in good customer service for success this is not the place .

I noticed the bad reviews before calling but I called anyway. I spoke with Benjamin the Sales Manager/Owner regarding the purchase of a side by side. I am a real buyer and ready to purchase. I've purchased cars/trucks/motorcycles from out of my area many times in the past. Benjamin told me the price but for the unit but would not give me an out the door price which I have never come across before, EVER. There are many fees that certain dealers put on top of units like, destination, assembly, dealer markup, etc. etc. so for me to figure this out before driving 2.5 hours is important. I have never come across anything like this and I cant believe they are in business doing things this way.
