It’s one of those few shops that is steeped in history and run by people who are experts in their field and enjoyable to talk to. I’ve enjoyed every trip because of the inviting bulldog plopped across the center of the floor, arching plants in the window and vintage bike club patches on the cash wrap, but the most important part is the mechanical experience…

I bring my vintage scooter to Barry and team for their expert knowledge and on the spot diagnosis of repairs needed. I’ve brought my vespas here for 15 years and heavily recommend.

Barry is the best. Full stop. He knows scooters, he loves scooters, and he deeply cares about his customers. We’ve had a mix of routine maintenance and a number of weird problems that we brought our Vespas in to Barry. He has gone above and beyond each time and earned our loyalty. He has been honest to a fault in dealing with us — never over-charging, always being willing to say when something doesn’t need fixed (or could wait or be done cheaply). That type of honesty is hard to find these days.

Great service, always been treated fairly with honest advice. I have an electric scooter which both batteries died and could not be charged with my charger. I brought them in and they were able to fix the problem and charge my batteries to full at no cost.

I had the most fun day getting a scooter here! These guys know their stuff, and are not pushy or sales-y. Barry and Diego are awesome dudes who just love scooters. You can tell this place is highly regarded by the scooter community. When it was time to drive my new Buddy home, Barry stayed late and gave me a full lesson on how to ride and get home safely. Can't recommend them enough if you're looking to get started on a scooter in SF.

Can confirm with all the other reviews, Barry is a certified chiller. This dude let me call him multiple times to confirm whether or not to buy a Vespa from a private seller to make sure I got the best value. Nothing was overcharged when I got it serviced; he weirdly enough is the first salesman I’ve met that cares more about the rider than his own profits. Grade A person, highly recommend.

Came in because my scooter was stalling at red lights. Spent 10 minutes at scooter center and they were able to diagnose the issue (I replaced the battery incorrectly). They didn’t try to upsell me, were honest, and fair. It made want to support them even more!! Thanks for the great service, SF scooter center. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my Buddy. They also cut keys!
