If you've been looking for a store that's hip 'n grungy with tasty retro clothes that span the surf and motorcycle vibe, then Seaweed & Gravel is your store. Located in Encinitas, the store has the same classic vibe as the North Coast Highway upon which it sits. You'll know you're there when you see the long line of vintage cycles parked out front. Tees & jeans are the mainstay. Tell them Dave & Tammy sent you!

Love this shop!! David was so nice in store with my purchase and equally as nice when I emailed him about making an exchange!

I live about 45 mins from the shop and realized (the day after I was there) I had purchased size medium in a “seaweed and gravel” shirt and hoodie and needed larges. They were closed on Monday so I couldn’t drive back out so I submitted a contact request on their website and Dave got back to me so quick and was so understanding about it, no million questions asked! My husband and I have been going to and supporting this small business for many years now and will definitely continue to do so!

Every time I’m in San Diego, I go out of my way to come here. The coolest store with the best vibes. Their house pants are the best pants in my closet. Highly advise getting yourself a pair. Can’t wait to get back!

By far the most on point clothing store that is real SD coastal surf vibe. Amazing high quality clothing, great variety, nothing over done but not under stated.

I am a 4th generation Encinitas local, born and raised in Leucadia. All my friends, family and I love this place and the owner. I hope it stays forever. I write this review out of love for the small business I feel lucky to have in my home town! A HUGE recommendation to check this place out if you haven't yet! Great vintage finds, reallly rad leather work, unique surfboards, dope sunglasses, solid gear for riding, and just a great place to mozy through on your day off!

This place is one of the coolest shops on the coast.
The stripped down bikes they build are out front, (Motorcycles) and they have a miriad of very cool items for men and women.
Vintage guitars, vintage bikes, surf boards, cool tee shirts, and lotsa smalls.
The owner's name is David, and he is as cool as his shop.

I recently ordered a shirt online. The shirt ended up being way to big. No ones fault. I sent the shirt back and asked for a smaller size. They did not have the smaller size. Dave sent me a different shirt that was 3 times more money, and three times better! Brand new! I have never in my life ever had a business that did not have the correct size, send me a more expensive, ten times better shirt, on them! This place rocks! I recommend Seaweed & Gravel to everyone! This place is the hands down, the best shop in SD up to LA. Love the vintage merchandise and motorcycles. Staff is very friendly. I never miss a chance to visit.
