Sites are nice and far apart. The ground is very tussocky and not level in a lot of spots; the outer ring sites are on a slope. Toilets were kept clean, but in midday there was an unpleasant chemical odor to them. (Better than the alternative, but not a joy.) Nights were fine and unstinky. Bathrooms are unlit at night so the campground is quite dark and the stars are fabulous. Our first night was mostly tent campers, which was very nice; lots of kids riding bikes around the loop. Good family friendly spot. There's a trail that leads you down to the Pine Marten campground and the lake, takes about 5-10 minutes altogether. The lake is wonderful.

There are bears!!! USE THE BOXES!!!

Campground itself is ok, but I think there is not enough restrooms for the amount of people. Basically, there is 3 restrooms (not building literally restroom cabins) for the 20something campsites.
T mobile is working, not super good tho

Beautiful campground, so peaceful and clean. The host Angel was amazing, very helpful and friendly. My car battery ending up dying and he went above and beyond to help me get it started. He definitely takes pride in his campground and wants to ensure you enjoy your time there. This is my second time there and have had a positive experience both times.

Beautiful and peaceful (apart from random bagpipe guy!) No water whilst we were here. That should be temporary but check ahead.

The silver valley camp ground. It's like no other place you've ever been to. Complete with majestic old growth trees. Covered in green ferns. A peaceful Alpine lake walking distance from every campsite. And a babbling brook flowing into this lake. Evenings are spent fireside roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories about paranormal experiences from the past. Soon the what is burned in the fire goes down. And you look up at the stars and see the universe and it's full expanse shining brightly through the atmosphere absent The light pollution from the big city you came from. In the morning after breakfast you head to the lodge for a bloody Mary and watch I bonded pair of osprey call back and forth as they soar over the lake in the morning light. The air is crisp. And life is grand.

Fantastic little campground that's off the beaten path. We stayed in spot 5 and it was extremely quiet. It was a little sloped from front to back so make sure you bring your leveling blocks. We also surprisingly picked up at&t service. Overall a very nice experience with a beautiful forrest all around.

On the east side of Lake Alpine, just a short five minute walk to the lake from any of these sites. Running water, flushing toilets. Two cars and three tents per site. Just under 25$ per night. You will notice on the drive in as soon as you can take your eyes off the lake there is a lodge to your left. General store, bar and restaurant. Even showers and laundry. Hope you have as much fun as we do, great place to bring kids, never had any problems. Lots for them to do, junior rangers, hikes, swimming, fishing, among the obvious things.

Only thing you may have an issue with if any would be if you think your going to find a site at eight o'clock on a Friday night. Plan ahead and you should be ok.

Hope this helps
