I need to share my experience with Simpson GMC in Garden Grove, as it has been incredibly frustrating. From the start, the mechanics and staff have shown a complete lack of concern for fixing our vehicle. It's hard not to feel like they're deliberately making us unhappy customers. My husband’s truck has been in their shop since December, and despite spending nearly $4,000 on repairs, it still doesn’t work. Each time we bring it in, they keep it for at least a week without any updates, and we end up facing yet another large bill. This has been ongoing for months, and their customer service is just awful.

On top of that, the rental cars they provide are in terrible condition, often dirty and with no gas. After investing so much money, we still have a truck that’s not functional. When my husband finally left a review to voice our concerns, they retaliated against us for sharing our experience and are no longer “willing to work with us.” We refuse to pay any more money to their service department because we are already out so much money to still have a truck that doesn’t work. Did they honestly expect a good review after everything we have been through?!!

I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. It’s not worth the headaches and ongoing repair costs. Save yourself the trouble!

I been shopping around for a 2025 equinox and They had the one I wanted I decided to look up their yelp and google reviews before walking in and I read great reviews about a salesman name Freddy So I called in asked for him and I was glad I did.He is hands down the best car salesman I’ve ever worked with! From the moment I walked into the dealership I felt welcomed and taken care of. He went above and beyond everything was fast and not pushy at all . We will buy my husband truck from him soon.

We recently purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado, and once again, it was a fantastic experience. This is actually our second time buying from this dealership, we originally leased a Chevrolet Equinox four years ago and later purchased it. The excellent service we received back then brought us back.

This morning, I went to check out a 2020 Audi S4. To be fair, they informed me that the vehicle was not ready, and I didn’t mind waiting. I spoke with Brian and another senior salesman about the numbers and my trade-in value, and they offered me the highest price they could for my car.

Later in the evening, I returned to test drive the car and finalize the deal. However, they informed me that the manager was not willing to honor the agreed-upon price, and there would be no discounts because they were waiting for other customers to come see it, even though I was the first one there. This felt like pure greed.

In short, I want to emphasize that they don’t honor their promises or handshakes. At least today, that was my experience. Make sure you have everything in writing; otherwise, they might take advantage of you.

I’m not upset or anything; this is their business practice. I'm sharing this for awareness purposes.

P.S. The Salesmen were super nice, that’s not the point here, the management should do better

Bryan Anderson was stellar to work with. I called him, he advised the 2025 ZR2 I was interested in was in transit. Took a deposit over the phone to secure the vehicle for me. He called me early one morning and advise the truck had just come in. I drove from Nevada to get this vehicle. Bryan made sure everything was right, got me in finance immediately and was in and out. The gentleman in finance was quick, efficient and made it easy for us. Will definitely buy again at your dealership. I enjoyed my whole experience with Bryan. He treated me with respect and made the process enjoyable. Mr. Anderson is a true professional.

I have been a loyal customer of Simpson Chevrolet Garden Grove since purchasing my 2017 vehicle brand new, and have only ever trusted their service department for maintenance. However, my experience over the last two years has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.

After every basic oil change, my truck’s check engine light comes on within a week. In the last six months alone, my truck has spent over a month in the shop, being worked on for four separate issues. What’s even more infuriating is the recurring pattern that every time I take my vehicle back, I am immediately told that the new issue is unrelated to the previous repair before a technician has even looked at it. This has led me to believe that my truck is never truly being fixed and I’m simply being pushed from one unresolved issue to the next.

Despite spending more time at the dealership than I ever should, I don’t feel like anyone at Simpson Chevrolet genuinely cares about solving my problems. It’s gotten to the point where the staff recognize me by name because of how frequently I’ve been in for repairs. I’ve also been extremely disappointed by their rental vehicle policy. I was charged $30 a day for a loaner, which I expected to be in good condition. Instead, the vehicles I received were filthy, with crumbs all over the back seat and less than half a tank of gas. These small but noticeable details show a lack of respect for their customers.

To make matters worse, after a month-long stay to fix a piston problem, I received my truck back only to find it was quickly plagued by another issue involving the intake and wiring. They kept the vehicle for a week, only for me to return it a week later with the check engine light on again. It’s become an endless cycle of costly repairs that seem to get me nowhere.

The financial burden has been staggering. I am now spending more money on repairs than I would be on a car payment. This level of inconvenience and poor service is unacceptable. I feel as though Simpson Chevrolet Garden Grove is either unable or unwilling to fix my truck properly, and at this point, I can no longer trust them with my vehicle.

I’m incredibly frustrated with my experiences here and would not recommend this dealership to anyone in need of reliable and thorough service.
