I have always had good experiences with this company. The last rental I did has ended up being a bit of a nightmare. When I arrived they had a car waiting for me. Super impressive. When I got into the car, it smelled of cigarette smoke. It wasn't horrible, so I took the car and went about my day. The next day, I returned the car. I had the windows down because of the smell. A few days later, I was charged $400 for a cleaning fee. I assume for the cigarette smell. I don't smoke. It wasn't me. But by the time all of this happened, I was already in L.A. I didn't fight with them about it. How was I going to prove it wasn't me. SO THE LESSON IS: Do not take a car that smells of smoke. I should've gotten them to replace the car. I didn't. And I paid the price. I don't know if this is a scam, but I do know they won't get me twice. Not certain if I will rent a car from them again or not. That's my story.

I was hesitant to use rental agencies because of their poor reviews, so I typically relied on car-sharing services. However, I needed a car for a few weeks and decided to give them a try, and I was pleasantly surprised! I only had to wait a minute in line, and the entire process took just five minutes since I had reserved and paid in advance. After a quick inspection, I received the keys and was on my way in no time. The staff member at the counter was professional, and the car was fantastic. I will definitely return for future long-term rentals!

Great selection of newer low mileage cars. Fast pick up and return. Shuttle bus from the airport to the nearby rental car center. Eric at the Hertz counter was terrific.
