We stayed at Stevenson’s Inn for one night on our way to South Tahoe, and it was a great stop. The room was clean and spacious for our kids. The manager was especially friendly and even waited for us since we arrived late, which we really appreciated. It’s a simple, no-frills place but perfect for a quick overnight stay. Would definitely stay again if passing through.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Stevenson’s Holliday Inn. This old school motel is locally owned and operated with incredibly friendly staff- especially Neil the owner/manager. He has some great recommendations for local trails to visit.

The location is super close to many trails for hiking, the beach, and the downtown area of Kings Beach. We loved being able to walk to great cafes, restaurants, and local stores.

The bed was comfy and we really appreciated having access to a fridge. There were a few cosmetic things to be improved in the bathroom because of some old wallpaper but nothing of concern. The shower was great and had perfect water pressure. The only thing I would change is just having larger body towels available in the bathroom.

If you are visiting King’s Beach, consider staying in this great motel!

Room was great with a hot tub. Very comfortable beds. Neil the owner was very helpful and a nice person to talk to. Will come back again.

The manager was very nice and helpful. We had fun playing ping pong in the game room. There’s a pool and hot tub but wasn’t warm enough to enjoy. Housekeeping needs to get the cobwebs out of the corners. The price was within our budget. Easy walk to the beach and shopping. We had a wonderful time in Kings Beach.

Our room was roomy and clean. The location is great - close to the beach, close to Diamond Peak skiing. The place is old but for the price - it's great.
BUT the very best thing is the manager/owner Neil. Super friendly, willing to help with anything and everything. We had a snafu with some booking service and Neil helped us. Book directly - don't use a booking service, they are difficult to work with and add a bunch of fees.

Our stay was great. Booked a room on the spot for under $200 a night on a weekend. The room itself its not a luxury stay but its a nice stay where you feel like you are at your grandmas house, feels homey. You have everything you need. In addition, the rep at the front desk Niel was so accommodating, big ups to him! Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are outdated and smell funky. No AC, but there was a box fan in the room. Bed wasn’t very comfy, couple of bugs in the bathroom. Hair on the sheets, asked them to change them and they did. Decently friendly staff. Amazing location, Kings Beach is really cool. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, but it was hard to pass up the price, although you definitely get what you pay for.
