As a new boater/boat buyer, I had a lot of questions going in and wasn't sure what to expect in the overall process. However, my expectations were blown away by Sun Country Marine, and the experience was simply outstanding! My initial questions on finding the right boat for me (Boston Whaler 190 Montauk) was handled expertly by Aaron J., while the follow-on manufacturing build, delivery, and final buying process was perfectly orchestrated by salesman Jeff T. He walked me through all the boat functions very patiently, dropped the boat off in my driveway, and is seemingly always available for a question and lending his support to this rookie boater. Derek W., the vice president, was also fantastic during the process. It was evident at both the Newport and Irvine locations that Derek and his entire team are thoroughly 100% customer focused. They really are top notch!

Also, I'll be using their complimentary concierge service for my next maintenance interval, where they will come over and pick up the boat, which is so convenient. I'm very happy I bought my boat from Sun Country Marine!

Great Service by Derek the manager from start to finish! We bought a used Bayliner just under $13000, we are from Texas and had our boat stolen, it was the same year make and model is the one we bought so we flew to Irvine and bought the boat on site. Derek was amazing you would’ve thought we spent $50,000 on a boat the way he took care of us! We had a shipper pick the boat up and bring it to Texas, his team worked great with the shipper and had it ready to go and spent extra time and effort to get it ready for a 1600 mile trip to us! Had a little issue with UPS and our title, Olivia did a great job making sure it got to us!
I highly recommend them for anybody purchasing a boat!

On occasion I'm motivated to write a review - and today I'm writing about Sun Country Marine (Newport and Dana Point), they are phenomenal!

In 2018 I bought a new boat from Sun Country Marine, and I was so pleased with their sales and service, I upgraded and bought another boat in 2020.

Their Yacht Management staff is second to none, and they keep my boat in pristine shape, and they are always in contact with me (thanks Kenny). I even call them off-hours and get help operating my boat systems.

They've made boat ownership easy and enjoyable.

Spoke with Aaron in sales on 11/22 about a boat. Per our conversation it was established to view boat 12/07 as I was out of state for business.

Asked to kept in the loop; rather be contacted if there were other interested parties.

Called12/07 to check in with Aaron. Was told by an associate boat was sold and closed 12/07.

Was never contacted prior to conversation with sales on 12/07.

Dissatisfied not with not being able to purchased boat but rather the lack of communication. Email text … nothing.

Aaron did try to call as I am typing this. Probably to save face. Sales are all about relationships… and as a consumer it’s sucks when you’re on the short end.

Bought a nice boat from them, Supreme 238. Had a little miscommunication with my warranty, they stepped up to the plate and took care of it. It was the right thing to do and THEY DID IT. You definitely want to purchase from a company that takes care of the customer. Jeff in Ontario was great to deal with. Treated me well. Thanks. I will be back for service.

What a joke this place is. Salesman Jeff threw out a bunch of lies, I jack him on it and he chalked it up to "miscommunication". We agree to use my boat as a trade in and he asks me to bring it in. Jeff gives me a heads up that it will take a week for the techs to look at my trade in. My boat sat there for an additional 10 days never to be looked at by the techs. Jeff said it was because they were to busy planning for the L.A. Boat Show. (They knew about the boat show for how long?) So I reach out to the Sales Manager Derek. Between Jeff and Derek, they pretty much tell me the L.A. Boat show was more important than wrapping up a sales deal with me. To top it off, I could not pick up my boat when I wanted to because they were to busy (planning for the Boat Show). So when I did get to pick up my boat, it was filthy! Not even wiped down. But Mack stepped up and took care of that. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WASTING your time with this business. The blonde kid Taylor was more helpful than Jeff and Derek. Check out the Yelp comments for this business, not to promising.

Service manager, Brian, provided first-class customer service. I live way out in Wisconsin and bought a used boat in California. I asked Brian to have his crew look over the boat for me. He provided a level of service that made me feel like one of their local valuable customers. I highly recommend letting Brian service your boat if you ever have that need.
