Unexpectedly, renting a double kayak for my wife and I was our most fun event of our week. We walked up and with my iPhone I was able to get a kayak easily and we were off in minutes. We are older and they gave us lots of help. An hour of up and down the coast gave us good exercise and lots of pics. Good price and I made a mistake with the application which they refunded while we were out. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the location: They had a rental spot right on the water, so easy pickup without any hauling / transport. They provided a quick tutorial including where to go for the best scenery. There are massive boulders submerged under water about a 25-30 minute paddle away. Definitely worth it as it was surreal. I rented for 2 hours and that was about right. Well done Tahoe Paddle & Oar. This was my second time renting from them, first time was ~2017. Same great experience at a reasonable price.

Great experience Kayaking with Tahoe Paddle & Oar equipments.

The map shows that's located after crossing the main road. But they also have a small unit right on Kings Beach. We rented a single and a double Kayak for an hour. The lady who helped with the registration was friendly and helpful.

No pre-booking was needed for us. Definitely try this to utilize your time in North Tahoe. You anyway pay a $10 parking fees for Kings beach so best to try water sports here.

Kayaking in Kings Beach was an amazing experience. On top of that, working with Tahoe Paddle and Oar was such a great choice. I would highly suggest making a reservation in advance which is easy to do on their website. I felt like the prices were very fair and cheaper than some of the other options in the area. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and even gave us suggestions on where to paddle. Cannot say enough about their customer service. I booked online three weeks in advance and got emails for the confirmation and reminders about my upcoming reservation.
As for the kayaking, I would suggest doing two hours minimum. In our two hours my husband and I were able to paddle towards some pretty cool boulders and back without overexerting ourselves. It gave us time to take breaks and photos as needed.

What a fabulous day! My cousin and I have been canoeing and kayaking in the lake for 60 years. This was the best way to end our stay and enjoy glorious weather. Ethan is fantastic, too!

We had the best experience with this company in Kings Beach. They made it easy to check-in and get equipment next to the lake. They were very friendly and helpful with instructions getting on and off our kayaks. Hands down a top notch experience. Highly recommend choosing these guys over anyone else in town.

Wonderful kayaking experience! You can’t go wrong with Tahoe’s beauty. It was last minute for me but the friendly and knowledgeable staff was able to get me through the online process and into a kayak in minutes. The kayaks are in excellent condition and up to date. Definitely recommend this establishment for your next kayaking adventure!

I've been coming to TPO for at least 15 years, for good reason. Ethan and his staff are really nice, helpful and caring. The equipment is in good shape and that you get it right at water's edge is so great! Great location, too. It takes about 1/2 hour to paddle to the rocks at Carnelian Bay. Then you can jump off the rocks for the best summer experience!
