Rating the overall experience with this location is poor. The 10' moving van was in poor condition, both sun visors were broken with kept falling in front of the driver's area of view, which is a hazard. The gas gage would not read unless your actually driving so filling up at the gas station is a hit or miss. But the icing on the cake was when we were returning the vehicle a young short girl with a bunch of acne on her face was EXTREMELY RUDE! Referring to me as "Bro" and calling me rude. She inspected the vehicle told me the amount that would be charged, so I simply asked her was that the overall total that was going to be changed? She looked at me as if I should already know the price and stated the price again. So we kept going back and forth on if that was the overall charge, she couldn't just say yes, she kept stating the price. So I asked her okay maybe you don't understand what I'm asking, is that including the Price I got charged this morning plus the amount now, because no one told me that the price in the morning is just a hold then including the mileage I would get the grand total at the end. It's not like I rent Uhaul all the time. I still didn't get the answer I was looking for, I just asked her to give me a receipt so I could figure the price out for myself. So frustrating to get one simple answer!
So future reference Uhaul, please train your employees better regarding customer service and not call a customer "Bro". By the way it was just her that was rude. The morning employees were nice!

My best experience with the uhaul on ming and white Land service understanding, friendly and willing to help and be kind us, my husband and I, and they give us a discount that best part we have so much problem with on the union the manager José extremely rude to us didn't want to help us Solve the solution

The woman with the red hair behind the counter was extremely efficient and professional. She was able to complete several contracts in record time while being pleasant. Also Dillon was friendly and very attentive. He acknowledged me right away, and even made a suggestion to get a larger trailer which turned out to be the best idea ever for my purpose. I even observed Dillon mopping the back of a truck, and other workers cleaning equipment. I have not observed all these positives in other locations so cudos to UHaul on White Lane in Bakersfield. They will be my go-to location when needing services in the area.

Brunette lady working there is basically yelling when talking on the phones, I couldn’t even hear myself speaking to the other U-Haul employee about the rentals nor the instructions being given by the other employee. I returned and the brunette lady called me forward, I told her the problems about the truck, instructions I couldn’t hear as she’s yelling the entirety of our visit. Her remedy was “open your texts” with the biggest condescending attitude.
Couldn’t had know things were going to be texted to me since she was already yelling through the whole visit. Bad Service, won’t be returning.

Y’all need to have security monitoring drivers!! Idk if it’s common, but I almost got ran over while exiting my storage area on an already shitty day. Thankfully it just broke your guys door so you guys can learn!! The corners are too big for those U-Haul’s so he drove very close to the door area before turning on the corner. My STORAGE NUMBER is “661”

I went in around 9:20 pm and I was denied access. A car pulls up behind me and tells me that she’s the manager but on leave and can’t grant me access, yet she pulls in right when I’m about to leave. This is the form that was given to me the day I got my storage and it’s the time listed on Google- the storage is opened 5 am until 10 pm . The manager proceeds to tell me that it’s only people with special access that can go in around that time and that I can go at 7 in the morning. This will definitely be escalated because the information I was given is false and there’s no accountability for that.

This whole experience with Uhaul has been by far the worst service. Started off with access codes being denied several times. I was then granted after hour access. In which again access denied. I would wait in long lines, over 11 minutes. Wait times for calls were around 18 minutes. Each time I came in I would get terrible service by front desk. I was told several times to come before a certain hour, in which I would. Just to be told come again the following day because it was close to closing. My move out experience was even worst. I spoke to 4 different employees each telling me a different story! Now today October 9th 2024. I was told to speak to Desiree. Desiree actually helped, but then Aina came out of the back room for back up. As soon as Desiree called her she rolled her eyes gave Desire attitude. Desire attempted to tell her what I needed Aina cut her off. Gave me attitude and was very short no greeting no type of mannerism. I explained the situation to her she then rose her voice saying I needed to pay in order to get access to my thing an after being told by Nichole the manager it was fine. Desire told her what I needed, and that I DID NOT NEED TO PAY! so Aina called her Grandma in which works at Uhaul. Her grandma who I can hear tell her “correct she DOES NOT PAY DUE TO HER EXPERIENCE!” Aina got off the phone and her only words were “go to the gate meet you there!” With attitude. Also when walking back to the gate, Aina had her wax disposable pen in plain customer sight. Kept making comments. Then opened the door for the direct storage unit, and didn’t give me or my colleague a chance to hold the door, which closed on my friends arm. As Aina just walked away. Now when I came back into the store. I asked Desire for Ainas name because I will be reporting this terrible experience and Aina walks to the exit and laughs and said do it”. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! 0 stars!
