Our family couldn't be more disappointed in uhaul right now. The uhaul we rented broke down in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. After leaving us there with kids, dogs, our fish, and myself and my girlfriend for over 5 hours, they finally towed us to our new home to unpack it, which we did. Now we let them know to tow it away, and they didn't for 3 days charging us for the additional days!!! Area manager reaches out and offers greatness for our next move. Okay, so now forward to our next move....Went to uhaul location and the answer we got was it wasn't their fault and we should contact customer service and they would not be helping us. "Um, excuse me, doesn't it say Uhaul on the door?" So we call customer service only to be told they can't help us either and we need management. Btw management doesn't work weekends, and now u will have to wait for them to call us on Monday. We apologize ahead of time if you don't like the answer. (You really needed to tell us that?) So now we can get ready to leave and are losing days based on uhauls' inability to take care of a situation that was clearly and grotesquely their fault. Hmmmm, does it sound as if this is a good idea to do business with them again?

The customer service was great. The female who assisted me was quick and within no time I was on my way. Drove from El Cajon to Chula Vista (otay) to remove stuff from my storage. It was a quick and easy move for me. Fair price as well.

Customer service at this location sucks , the front desk employee was very rude and unknowledgbeable , not to mention that they always make me wait longer than i should, they never have the equipments ready before i show up , I'll never comeback to this location, I've been to a lot of Uhual locations in San diego and this one by far is the worst!

We have been customers here for almost 4 years. Good people. They have pay on-line options and auto pay to make it easy to pay on time. Talk to the manager for any and all details or one of the other helpful associates.

They were always accommodating when I wanted to come and get things out of the container I rented. We even emptied it there. The workers were the best and very sweet. Even once on a very hot day, they put the container inside by a big door with a huge fan. It was cooler inside than outside!

It was simple as everything was accomplished on the app. Taking the pictures, having access to road side assistance, etc all easily accessible.

HOWEVER, there are a LOT of hidden fees. Plastered on the side of the trucks it says, "ONLY 19.99!" It ended up being around $100. The milage is what gets you the most. It was only 5 miles between where I rented the truck and the apartment and about the same between the apartment and the storage shed. But once you drive from the rental place, drive to the apartment, drive to the storage shed (hopefully only in one trip!), then back to the rental place you've racked up a lot of charges based on milage. Then you have to refill the gas used. So $20 for the truck, approx $70 for the milage, then another $30 for the fuel.

So if you need a truck, U-Haul is one of the better options, but don't think you're getting a cheap move.
