Literally put gas in your trucks... I show up to rent a truck its actually empty and they contract says it has 1/4 tank then I'm suppose to adjust this on the contact and then try to keep the truck at empty?!?!? Please do a customer a favor and fill the truck up to so we can actually use your service...

I guess the expectation is to drive around until the car dies on the side of the road..

Or its just a really lazy way a large company take advantage of its customers for a free tank of gas.. aka $6/gallon of gas plus $30 to return it with less than 1/4 tank penalty.. so it would cost me more to refill the the truck than the day I rented it for. Maybe Uhaul should be held to the same standard as you would charge the customer.

Worst customer service ever..

Canceled the truck. When doing so the front desk person states even an empty tank will get you 40 miles... seems like a strange thing to say considering empty is a spectrum of 2 drops to 2 gallons... unsure an empty tank will always get you 40 miles...

They will also not allow me to put a review on their U-Haul website because I canceled this. So I would take their 4.5 is highly filtered....

U-Boxes from California to Florida. We rented four metal U-boxes and it was the best decision.
I was skeptical that everything would arrive in good condition because of the long trip but EVERYTHING arrived in perfect condition. Not even a dent.
The entire process run smoothy. You can do it on-line or in person at the U-Haul facilities. I spent a lot of time comparing prices for moving from California to Florida and this was the cheapest option.
I hired the mover helpers (those are third-party people that you can hired using the U-Haul website) and my recommendation is to read the reviews. The people that we hired in California were bad but the people that we hired as helpers in Florida were really good. You can sort by price and get good people to upload/download your things. We moved a hybrid piano and some Restoration Hardware furniture, and everything arrived in Florida in the same condition that they were in Florida. Overall, it is a 5 starts for the U-Haul company.

Disappointing Experience and Unjust Charges with U-Haul Rental

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience with U-Haul at this location I recently rented a moving truck from your facility, and unfortunately, the overall experience has left me dissatisfied.

To begin, I was charged a $50 cleaning fee, despite returning the truck in a clean condition with no visible trash. Additionally, there was a $51 charge for fuel, even though the actual cost of gas for my trip was only $20. I find these charges to be excessive and, quite frankly, unjustified.

Moreover, there were several other charges that brought the total to $238, which I believe is an unreasonable amount for a moving service. This experience has left me feeling misled and frustrated, especially considering the initial appeal of choosing U-Haul for my moving needs.

I must express my dissatisfaction with the service and the unexpected financial burden these charges have placed on me. It's disheartening to feel that I have been taken advantage of, especially after receiving numerous calls from your location that influenced my decision to choose U-Haul over another option in Dublin.

At this point, I am compelled to share my negative experience with others, and I am seriously reconsidering using U-Haul in the future. I believe in fair and transparent business practices, and unfortunately, my recent encounter with your company has not aligned with these principles.

In contrast, I have heard positive things about another rental service in Dublin that is conveniently located for me. Initially, I was considering their services, but the persistent calls from U-Haul swayed my decision. Now, I regret not choosing the alternative, especially given the issues I have encountered.

I hope you understand the impact this experience has had on my perception of U-Haul as a reliable and customer-oriented rental company. I trust that you will address these concerns promptly and consider reviewing the charges applied to my rental.
