I recently rented a truck from U-Haul and had a great experience overall. The staff was friendly, and the service was fast. I appreciated the easy access to all the necessary accessories for my move. However, one downside was the rental cost—it was not as advertised. The actual price ended up being much higher than expected, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I would recommend U-Haul for their service, but just be prepared for potential pricing discrepancies!

We love Ethan and the san juan crew! He and his personnel were efficient,
personable and understanding especially when it comes to moving! I rented 2 trucks over 1 weeks time and both times the trucks were clean and equiped. Thank you for making my moving experience a little easier!

I would go out of my way to rent from this location just because the people here are so great. Josh Cervantes and Sergio helped us get our truck quickly after another location (25541 Arctic Ocean Dr, Lake Forest, CA 92630) failed to even be open for us to pick up our truck. They did it on the fly, under pressure, and were very very good to work with. Highly recommended for your truck and storage needs. Thanks a million Josh C. and Sergio you saved the day!

These people need to pay attention to detail. When I request the rental for 24 hours, I expect it to be for 24 hours. Instead I was asked how long I need it for, to which I said I need it for 24 hours (and that’s after reserving it online for 24 hours), and the person doing my paperwork decided to put until 7:00pm (mind you it was 8:30am when I came to pick up the truck). TO me that sounds like 10-1/2 hours, NOT 24 hours. And of course I end up getting charged for a second day because I returned it AFTER 7:00pm. It’s not until I complained about it and refused to pay the extra charges, stating that I have no problem providing the confirmation email as proof that I requested the rental for 24 hours that they took the 2nd day charges off. Ridiculous that I have to go that far for them to just do the right thing. And I’m not even going into details about the fact that they decided to start adding different insurance plans and I specifically denied. When I booked I chose the $14 coverage, and all of a sudden I’m getting billed for the $28 coverage. No thank you! AND that’s not to mention the fact that every time I’ve rented from uhaul I’ve had problems with the after hours check-in. Thank god customer service rep picked up the phone quickly, because last time I was on hold for over an hour trying to get someone on the phone, and my phone died when they finally picked up. That’s definitely NOT what I want to be doing at 12:00am. After 12-14 hours of moving and driving a big truck all I want to do is go home and sleep, but I’ve never been able to do that with uhaul, because their after hours check-in has NEVER worked correctly. And I literally mean not even one time. So to whoever might read this, I would honestly reconsider using uhaul. From here on out I will only use them if no other rental companies have anything available for me. Uhaul is ABSOLUTELY THE LAST CHOICE for a truck rental, and I recommend it to be yours too.

P.S. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the lady that did my paperwork was honestly nice and pleasant to speak with, and the place was very neat/clean and nicely organized. The process to pick up the truck was simple, fast, and very straight forward/down to the point. I was literally in and out, but again, uhaul is by far my LAST choice of a truck rental company because of this location and because of how I’ve been treated this time and most of the times in the past. BE WARNED: YOU WILL BE OVERCHARGED AT THE END, SO MAKE SURE TO GO OVER YOUR CHARGES VERY CAREFULLY AND DISPUTE INCORRECT ONES RIGHT AWAY. IF YOU NOTICE INCORRECT CHARGES, >>>DO NOT PAY<<

The trunk was dirty with confetti and a lot of dust. I took the broom myself and had to clean it up. For the first time I had no luck with the employee who was working today. He made a mistake when delivering the van, he made a mistake on my card and then when he realized that he had made a mistake with the vehicle, he immediately said that he didn't have van 10 because they were all reserved. As I noticed the way he was treating me, so in front of him I started the online reservation for the app where upon realizing he said that there had been a cancellation and started the documentation for the truck van 10 that I had requested from the beginning. Very rude without any professionalism and a person who doesn't wear the company's shirt. Without a doubt, it deserves to be analyzed as I left very disappointed with the terrible service I received today.

Was charged for gas being a tick below supposedly. Took a before picture and matched it up when I filled it back. No help on the phone. Reminder to put a dollar more of gas in so you don’t get charged $20!
