I have been using this UHAUL store for over 25 years. The staff is always friendly, helpful and efficient. This is one of the larger stores in Bakersfield and have a full line of truck rentals and moving supplies.

It was so busy, when we returned the vehicle back it was BAD service

The customer service ladies that answered my various calls were exceptional. They were warm, kind, helpful, articulate and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles. The vehicle itself was brand new, in excellent condition and exactly what we needed. The return process was simple and painless and efficient!

Upon my return, I owed for additional funds. I asked for what and was told, “I think” for mileage. I don’t go off “I think”, I need to know facts. I was told to look on my documents verses to them looking it up in their system.
While going over the entire charge, i learned they had previously taken out an initial charge. I explained that when setting the reservation I was told “my charge will not be charged but only held on file”. Then the “Owner” John K, intervenes and said I hand a debit charge and when using a debit charge they will charge it but when using a credit card it will be held on file. I told him, how am I supposed to know that if it’s not explained to me. He wouldn’t allow me to speak, continued to cut me off and argued loudly with me. I explained as a customer point of view, the company should had explained the differential of the two. Somehow he couldn’t understand yet proceeded to explain when he is a customer at a store which gave no meaning.
U-Haul needs to do better.
I pay what I owe, but I also go off what U-Haul staff specifically states. I hold you, as a business, accountable!
Get it together John K and never argue with a customer!!!

Came to fill a propane tank and it takes forever. At 105 degrees outside and they take there sweet 'A' time. Don't come here.

Very frustrating experience. FYI if you reserve a car for a few hours 8-10, they will check you in late EVEN THOUGH you checked in online. & they will still ask you to bring it back in by 10. And when you ask if youre only gonna pay then for the time you had it, they will say its a full day reservation. Also, when you return it online, and go to drop it off in the box & you ask where box is. The owner will still say you need to talk to girl in the front (where theres a long line) and it wont be until another employee comes to process you out, that HE actually exercises good customer service & confirm that we CAN just drop off keys in a box. 5 stars to that one employee, every one else service terrible.

Awful service by the Manger name José having us go to different places- and not only that being extremely rude as well he didn't want to help my husband and I he didn't want anything do with us or assistance us we going back-and-forth with this man 4 hour Recommend going to ming for their service- alot better they way friendly and so helpful and understanding
