Terrible Experience with United 24 Hour Car Rental

I recently had a truly dreadful experience with United 24 Hour Car Rental, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others about the poor service and lack of professionalism I encountered. In all my years of renting cars, I have never encountered such a frustrating and unresponsive rental company.
Initially, I was drawn to United 24 Hour Car Rental because they offered the lowest cost quote for a 15-day rental. The prospect of having a car delivered to the airport baggage claim, along with the promise of a free upgrade to an SUV, seemed too good to be true. As it turns out, it absolutely was.
Upon arrival at the Anchorage airport, I diligently called the numbers Victor, the representative from United 24 Hour Car Rental, provided every few minutes for over an hour. To my dismay, there was no answer. Desperate to get in touch, I also sent emails and text messages, but received no response whatsoever. To add insult to injury, Victor's voicemail was full, making it impossible to leave a message. It was an incredibly frustrating and bewildering experience.
Finally, after two days, Victor returned our call. By that point, however, it was far too late. We had already made alternate arrangements with Best Buy Auto Rental, which proved to be a godsend. Their service was impeccable, and the price they offered was only slightly higher than United 24 Hour Car Rental. We were even told by locals that United 24 Hour Car Rental often struggles to have cars available, resorting to finding vehicles from other rental companies, friends, and who knows where else.
I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with United 24 Hour Car Rental. Their lack of communication, unresponsiveness, and overall incompetence have left a lasting negative impression. I strongly advise anyone considering renting from them to think twice and explore other options. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of headaches and frustration by choosing a more reliable car rental company like Best Buy Auto Rental.
It is my hope that by sharing this review, others will be spared from the disappointment and inconvenience I endured.

Called after car rental companies had no cars as a last resort. Talked to Victor who gave me a great quote for a rent and rent vehicle guy even offered to pick us up at airport. When we arrive in Anchorage airport to come pick us up he informs us he is cleaning out rental. We wait at pickup for 30 minutes I call again he said he was on his way. Then 10 minutes later he messages saying his grandmothers bday and he can’t make it. Absolutely embarrassing, called BEST BUY AUTO RENTAL got a better rate and newer car that wasn’t a dent and rent.

I was able to get into a rental vehicle when no other companies in town had any rentals available. Not only did they have great customer service, but they also were able to deliver my rental to my downtown hotel at no extra charge.
