I have to say I received the best car buying experience here at McKenna Volkswagen in Cerritos! I bought a certified pre-owned Vw Passat, and I'm very pleased with the vehicle purchase and buying experience. Alex was my sales associate, he was friendly, informative, and helpful. Wasn’t too sure bout VW and leasing a vehicle from there until my wife and family members convinced me to do so . I gotta admit I should’ve considered sooner . Overall the experience was a smooth ride literally. From sales to finance it was all just simple . Didn’t feel anxious or overwhelmed. The negotiation process was quite straightforward. Even tho they might be a chance that I could’ve gotten a better deal it doesn’t feel like I got a bad one . If that makes sense . First time leasing a VW and so far the car I choose fits my needs. Would highly recommended.

My first VW and my first EV. The 2023 ID4 has many issues but the software glitch is the most inconvenient. I scheduled an appointment for finally have the recall repaired. I arrived at the dealership and was great. Even though I had an appointment I had to wait 30 minutes after I arrived before 8 am. The repair will take days and they don't have a loaner. This is the worst ever. I will update if the vehicle is fixed.

Shady finance department. I would normally only give 1 star after what happened; however, our original sales person, Vince was kind and helpful. We were close to a deal, but they said they needed to do a soft inquiry in order to see an accurate monthly payment for the loan. I was visibly hesitant, as I’m working to rebuild my credit. They insisted NUMEROUS times that it would only be a soft inquiry. I even said, “as long as it’s only a soft inquiry, but I don’t want to proceed if it’s a hard inquiry.” (I needed some time to think about the deal before making a decision). I felt very pressured and agreed to ONLY a soft inquiry. We ended up leaving saying that we’d call back in 30 minutes with a decision- in that time they sold the car to someone else (business is business, I walked so can’t be too mad at that). However, 20 minutes later, I received an email that there were TWO HARD inquiries on my credit report. When I called back, the finance person we were working with tried to blame it on someone else, saying “I didn’t know what he was doing” but he was standing over his shoulder the whole time. This was an incredible breach of trust and bad business. I won’t be returning to this dealer.
