Scam and a sham.
I paid for my rental in December and got a good rate. Was told ~$90 in taxes upon pickup several times and per my contract.
Upon pickup, taxes are $260. I contacted customer support which was a joke, and was told Budget "isn’t honoring their terms with Wisecars". Not my problem. Wisecars customer service is run by idiots that are both unhelpful and most importantly, unwilling to honor our legal contract. They tried to claim it was taxes but 1) that is what the $90 was supposed to be for; 2) if that was the case the math doesn’t line up with my rental agreement; and 3) if that was true, why would they say "Budget isn’t honoring their contract". I have filed a small claims lawsuit, and disputed this with my credit card under fraud protections. Stay the hell away from Wisecars. They are the worst.
Tires were balding, plugged near the sidewall, and the wipers were inoperable. Wisecars and Budget car rental. A match made in the pits of hell. Steer as far away from this duo as you possibly can.

*DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*I booked a car for a 5 day period between 10/10 and 10/15. I booked the car on or about 8/18. During that two month gap between booking and landing at the airport I received a notification that the car rental company utilized to furnish the car (Dollar) was not able to guarantee a car for me. This was followed up by a notification informing me that Dollar had confirmed the rental and that there was no worries. When I arrived at the airport to get my car, Dollar informed me that Wisecars had cancelled the contract (for which I had paid a down payment of $258.83 on the booking date). Thus there was no car available. I immediately contacted Wisecars and filed a ticket to ensure I would be refunded the down payment. I have followed up with them on a near daily basis to ensure they are tracking my money they have no stolen. They have assured me with messages they are doing so. It is now a month past the initial problem with no evidence of anything happening. This company is a joke and should not be permitted to do business. This is absurd and not right. Do yourself a favor and dont use them. Secondarily if you do and you receive any slightly questionable notification, immediately file a dispute with your credit card company and work on getting your money back because Wisecars will certainly not help you at all. They are a false and misleading company. I will never use them again and you should not either.

Most greedy thieves car rental company out there! I was charged $84.00 on commission fees. Almost as much as I paid for the 2/day car rental itself. 😡 They will not disclose their commission cut unless you find out yourself. FYI- I made my reservation online for Las Vegas rental, as far as I know they do business all over US.

Because we were unable to rent the car, we couldn’t make it to the port for our ferry, and as a result, our ferry tickets were wasted. Similarly, we were unable to use our hotel reservation. If I could give them 0 star I would. Peter batch agent #42 was very rude and unhelpful. If you don't want to lose your money for God's sake don't book with these scammers. They have the worst customer service i have known till this day. I'm surprised they got those good reviews I'm pretty sure it's their own people.

They don't deserve to exist at all.

This company is either a scam or incompetent. I booked a car for three weeks in DC for a multi-location family vacation. I paid in advance and received a “voucher” which was the first red flag. The day before I flew to DC I received an email saying they could not guarantee my reservation and that they would process a refund. Luckily I was able to get another rental car (cheaper than Wisecars) and salvage my vacation. The refund took several weeks and calls. This is a third party service that is struggling with its business. No reason to ever do business with them.

We picked a car up in Las Vegas only to find the amount we had paid Wisecars did not cover the basic rental. The car ended up costing us twice the price we paid Wisecars. They are just awful.

Beware—this company fraudulently charged me over $400 without providing any service. They have zero regard for their customers. They falsely claimed I was a no-show, but the real reason was that I refused to hand over nearly $500 in cash as a deposit. Their third-party provider arbitrarily labeled me a “local customer” renting from an airport location, yet nowhere in their policy—written or verbal—was this requirement disclosed. This is nothing but a scam, and I will be taking legal action to hold these thieves accountable.
