Really disappointing service - torn electrical wires, blown biyycle tubes, poor service, multiple trips needed..

First off, I really wanted to like this place. It's in Redwood City, the location is decent, and the prices are fair. So I took my road bike and e-bike here for service, but unfortunately have kept running into problems with the quality of work they perform.

First, after installing 2 new tires and performing a full service on my road bike, after 15 minutes of biking with it, the tire pops off and I get a flat. Bummer, but these things happen.

Second, when I take my e-bike in for squeaky brakes- they take a few days, then call me to say the bike is done. I come in, give it a test ride, and the brakes are still squeaky. I ask them to try again, and to test the bike before calling me. This happens 2 more times, until I'm coming in a third time, after they said they've done the service, and the brakes are still squeaky. Finally, I have to drop down and work with the tech to look at what might be going on, and ask them to fix it in front of me- until it finally works... kind of. (they fixed the front one, but not the rear one.. 🤷).

Third, and this is what made me write the review - the work was so sloppy that two weeks later, I hear my rear brake squeaking again. I get down and check it, and find that the shop had loosened one of the electrical wires leading to the rear light (this is an e-bike and there's wires everywhere), and the brake has been having a grand time slicing through this now frayed wire. So now my brake light doesn't work, the rear brake is squeaking again, and I have to go back to this shop for a 4th time... after not really wanting to deal with them at this point.

The people there seem nice enough, but they need to increase the quality of their service and check their bikes work right when work is done. I wish I could go to them again, but I've had too many headaches- avoid this shop, they will cause you headache.

(PS after writing this review, I've had others reach out and say they used this shop, and that they had similar experiences - blown tubes after maintenance, oddly shifting cables, etc.). Something is not working here.

I have never had any problems until recently. I took my road bike tire, rear tire, in just to get the tube changed. They charged me 30 bucks for the tube and labor. I thought that was kinda high but I knew they did quality work so I paid it. I rode it for 2 days and it went flat. Deciding to fix the issue myself I noticed why it went flat.

Marty at Woodside bike shop has gone above and beyond to help me not only locate an out of stock e-bike for my son, but ensure that it will arrive in time for Christmas. The staff here are top notch taking care of not only local customers, but those like myself all the way across the country in south Florida!

Well I finally found a guy who works on scooters. He's doing some work on my Ninebot. I have a flat rear tire . Super cool guy with an amazing inventory of Road ,Mountain and E bikes. Good prices, a lot of knowledge he also has a few used bikes in there that are very economical. Definitely going back to pick up this used mountain bike in great condition new cables new tires, new seat great price👍. I'm really stoked I found somebody to work on my scooters. He's done a little work on my highboy and he's now working on my ninebot.
